Mental Nomad
Full House
Just keeping this out there - there are several different stock ceramics that I liked enough to buy as a playing set of my own, but didn't, strictly because they were not printed edge-aligned.
Even some where the edge-alignment is much less important than on this set. For example, I really like the Venerati design from SidePot - but can't handle the unaligned spots. It's not even obvious on most of the denoms, but on the $1 sample I have it just screams "wrong!" (to me.) The design on the Archetypes has an edge that doesn't "require" alignment, but the edge spot design suggest clay-like edge spots, and they look wrong unaligned (to me.) I know the price would be higher if these were aligned... but I wonder how many other sales like me they lose from people who can't help seeing the unaligned chip as a shoddier item.
