I think given your read on villain's bet-patterns and the range you put him on, turning JJ into a bluff is reasonable. I'm pretty certain villain would have folded TT-KK in a heartbeat.
As has been said, your bet-sizing is important. No need to balance, just make a bet large enough that says you have the ace and others should fold now... I'd rather make the flop raise larger than auto c-bet turn though (IMO more profitable in the long run). The way this hand played out, I would have not bet the 8 because you unsuccesfully repped an A and the turn completed a straight, I'd have checked back and bluffed river on any spade (checking back turn gave you the fd) / value bet a J.
