What's going on behind the bar? It looks like there's glass and somebody is in a room behind it?

That's a segregated smoking room. I don't smoke but we have an enclosed area where people can go in to smoke. It has a strong air exchanger to the outside in there. You can't smell any smoke at the table.

I'll take some video next time... this is one of several locations we play at, but definitely the nicest one. The entrance is actually really cool, behind a disguised automated bookshelf that slides open... almost like a Speakeasy.

Last night I got the Jacks in play for the first time, and everybody wanted a piece. My cash games are normally 7-9 players, but I ended up with 14 over the course of the evening.

We played 8-10 handed for a bit, then went to two tables when #11 showed up. My second table has a broken folding leg, but luckily the PCF topper came to the rescue. Thanks again @Tommy!

Unfortunately I couldn't escape the new chip curse. My game is .25/.50 $100 max, and I was in for $600 - definitely a record for my game. I bought $100 x 4, then a half-the-big-stack buy of $200.

I ran pretty crappy all night, but caught a nice little heater near the end and ran my last buy-in briefly into the black. I couldn't stay there though, and ended up with $530 for a $70 loss on the evening. I can live with that.

I also took an evening off keto and drank WAY too much beer.

Last but not least, I love my home game crew. Winning or losing, everybody was having a great time last night, and they're all just good people to hang out with. I said repeatedly last night that I'd much rather be losing to them than grinding a win at the local card room, and I meant it.

Can’t catch a hand tonight, but I’ve got Alaskan Amber and Macallan 18 to keep me warm. Last dance with these chips, my first custom set bought in 2004 and 2006. These will be packaged up tomorrow and sent to Scotland and the Bible Belt. I’ve made about $15k with these chips over the past 16 years. I wish you luck with them, @TheBigTater @BonScot and @ekricket

Cheers @Saoliver I will put them to good use when they get here. And special thanks to @TheBigTater who had first dibs on these but stepped aside to let me get my grubby mitts on them.

While the ones coming my way will go under the knife at some point, I hope to put them to good use. Thanks! :)

While I might have a tiny bit of regret passing my dibs on some of these. I'm thrilled to see another person joining the limit chip set club. Lots of run good with them. :)
