In my experience, most people can move down in stakes for a good, social game. Moving people up can be damaging if they are not ready/willing.

In my experience, most people can move down in stakes for a good, social game. Moving people up can be damaging if they are not ready/willing.

Well, to be more accurate, they kind of met in the middle. Our $.25/.50 game recently has tried $.50/1. This is the second time. Plus a few of them are occasional $1/2 casino players.

It was much harder to get my others guys to move down but I think they liked it. I think $.50/1 is a good limit for a continuous and frequent game. It’s pretty hard to get a regular $1/2 game unless you are inviting from a large list of people that you I may or may not know that well. I know all these guys very well and personally like all of them.
