No. It's a local guy. I've played at his game once. He has a nice set up, but his chips are shitty ceramics (way too busy of a design) and he didn't have enough of all denoms to give everyone a proper starting stack... Change being made every hand. Then again, running 6-7 table tournaments requires a pretty big chip set...

I saw the same one posted for $82... It's certainly available (and nicer), but I posted this one as the cheapest option I found.

I'm not opposed to modifications to improve it once I see it.
I was going to show the Fineni one to @alecnetwoodworks to see how easy it might be to knock them out at a higher level.

Glue together some nice flat one inch boards. Some planing, routing, drilling and engraving. A little paint, or maybe inlay some exotic woods at the Start and Finish line. The problem is those metal horses are available individually, but they're $7 each. So we would need to try and find a full set at wholesale prices to stay fairly competitive with this one.

I kinda like the wooden horse heads of the cheap set I posted... I envisioned a bunch of different brown, reddish and black stains to make the horses individual.
You mean those simple pieces of wood in slots on that $20 game? I don't think those would have the "upscale" look I would be trying to achieve with a hand crafted Alecnet Custom Woodworks board.

Alcanet could do nice horse heads and probably has 12 stain shades....

HHR chips required for scoring.

We could 3D print the horses pretty easily. Or we could get some cool knights from chess sets.

So it seems like they have cameras set up in the rail to view what the cards are?

I'm guessing that they do a bunch of video production before they record the audio, so that all the cards are noted, and put on a display, and then the people that do the commentary are watching the video that has already been produced showing what the cards are, and the pot sizes as well?

Lots of work to put that all together. Nicely done.

I wonder if you could pull off something similar with a cell phone and record just your hand then pass along for the next person to record theirs. Seems like a bit much work though.

Or what about RFID cards, but only 1 static reader, so the dealer deals a hand then passes it over the RFID reader before shipping both cards to a player?

A lot of logistic challenges to overcome!

Not positive. I would guess either RFID cards or rail cams.

I went to their youtube channel and watched a few more videos. They have rail cameras installed.

So, yeah, definitely a lot of post production work involved before they record any commentary.

I could geek out on that...I'm sure I'd be in the same boat with having a bunch of past tournaments without the videos...but rail cameras, dang...yeah, not sure I could swing that. It's the logistics part that's hard. Because even if you didn't do all the crazy casting work, you could just do like big hand highlights or even just having the data is kind of cool.

Cash night. Broke out my tournament trophy as my card capper for the intimidation factor. Bomb pots in effect.

I need to hit up @LeLe for some custom dice so that we can use one for Bomb Pots.

This is a friend of mine who had a custom board done. He got a bunch of Blanton’s horses and took the cork off and made horses. I think you can order directly from distillery for like $4 a piece. If you want to go high end.

Locally, they make them on the bourbon barrel lids.

These are the different horses I use for my game. I think I got a bag of 12 of the actual horses for $10. And the other I am going to paint bright colors like jockey silks. Many ways you could go with it.

Lot's of really awesome ideas. Another son of mine is a bartender and has already collected one full set of the horses. And @alecnetwoodworks is also a bourbon drinker and would really appreciate these I think. I love the one on the barrel lid. Did the one that says Blanton's on it come from the distillery like that?

First time hosting in 2022, and we’ve got a full table scheduled for tonight! I think I’ve only had a full 10-player table once before. Gonna be crowded, but it will be fun. Oh, and it’ll be NUTS! NUTS chips, bounties, all ins, cut cards and, of course, dealer button!
