Ohh man... had a fantastic night of poker with the @DarkHelmet55 crew. Hit the local pub with the crew, grabbed a bite to eat and a quick brew, and even got in on the Keno pool they play! True degens with $$ on the table in the bar everytime. Lol

Then it was off to the races with the IG cash set paired with the Paragon quarters. Lots of compliments even from non chippers.

Wasn't very long before we had the big boys pots brewing (as usual)

This was awesome, Brett's girls had some kind of fund raiser with homemade cut potato chips, we doused them with hot sauce and Old Bay... set them.in the middle of the table and played around them while we all chowed down!

Unfortunately I wasn't in the casino playing 3 card with this one. Just srud..study... didn't pan out but still looked good! Haha

And in the end Both @FordPickup92 and I managed to pull out a positive evening. In for $100 out for $270, Brie did well... she definitely had the tough grind! I didn't win a single thing for about 4 hours straight but finished strong. And in the end about 14 hours after begining this journey and about 11 hours of 100% holdem free poker... it was time to head home

Nothing like driving home with the sun breaking from a poker night! We all know those are the best games! Lol

I know.... I suck at taking pictures, but I tried this time!

Mr. Brett you run an absolutely amazing game.sir! Drinking bourbon, and nothing but hours of laughing. Had an absolute blast brother, great warm up for the KC Straddle this week!

I'm gonna try my hand at a Ben Book...

Woke up early (1pm really but early for me)to meet with @Mac128k to pickup rolling gasser chairs that match the few that I have. Thx Mac for muling them half way.

Rushed home to get ready for the $100 buyin Charity Tournament. I recently sold my practice and will be starting and managing a dental clinic for a local non-profit health center. So we donated 25% of the tournament prize pool to the health center. Here are starting stacks and alcohol lineup for my 52nd Bday Party. Thanks to @DirtyTIVA for bringing the 50y.o. Scotch. It was nice to be able to try something as old as me. Still pretty spicy at 50 tho...I was surprised.

Starting stacks at 12k with only 2 rebuys for whole field for early bad beats. Here's my I'm serious at 52 poker face and chipping up.

@RichMahogany had an ugly early bad beat with his QQ going down in flames of @Vinyard 's sons JJ. It was so disgusting that he skipped the bad beat rebuy option.

At the end, it was historic that all that cashed are PCF chippers. I chopped with @RainmanTrail @BarrieJ3 for 1st $350 ea. And @RocAFella1 placed 2nd $300. Congrats Team PCF! (Note I was chip leader no matter how small the lead than 2nd place Travis who outlasted Ivey, Helmuth and Negreaneu in a recent $10k WSOP event. Just saying...)

Mainly we chopped bc main cash table was full and we wanted to get to the $6/$12 Limit Carny games. Up and down I went...some games I forgot we were playing split pots. 6 glasses of mixed spirits from 12 to 50 y.o. will do that to ya. Well I was lucky enough to squeeze out a win from SOHE and Triple NL after being almost felted of my $200 buyin for a $56 win. Woohoo. I'll take it.

PXL_20220710_044546169.jpg

Spots at both tables started opening. At one point I was multi tabling the limit game and NL game. Put down $100 short buy at the $1/$1 NL since others were deep and tried to run it up. Ended up running my AJ sooted into AK. Yuck...Loss of $100.
PXL_20220711_013202435.jpg

Used my mixed Hotstamp set for the cash game. Bought in for normal $400 and cashed for $156 profit. That's me with the Godzilla cap.

PXL_20220710_064634284.jpg

TLDR - All in all $387 profit, loads of great hooch and had a blast with great friends and chippers!

Ben books are the way to go Bro! Haha

Fantastic write up of the event! What's up with NOT removing @saleen121212 $5 Tourtuga Island Labels off of thr LCO $2s LOL... I know they aren't murdered, I bought some of the other denoms off of him a LONG while back!

So @Mac128k did not play in the event?

Great fun as always Herman! Thanks again for hosting!

When I see pictures like the last one, my first thought is "man that looks delicious", immediately followed by "they definitely don't have counter height dogs." Dewey (my 85lb. puppy) would not let that make it through the night.
We do. She is very well behaved.

Haha, too lazy to remove the pirate stickers and it's kinda fun to find some Easter eggs while playing.

Mac couldn't make this one. But I'll be having a bigger Oktoberfest tournament coming soon. @Ben8257 @FordPickup92 fancy a trip to Cali in the Fall?

So.... it's been forever since I posted much on PCF. Figured I should share a few pics that I have since I've been able to host!

Played the Caps as a T0.25 and T1 base tourney set before but not T5 until recently. Had to give it a shot since cash games haven't really developed yet.

CB chips. Got them in play a couple times. Once with 5 players and another with 8. I'm surprised there weren't too many issues with 8 players and change making with the not so many $5s and my half-ish newer players.

Awesome CPC set in play a couple of times too. Only have a decent starting stack pic.

Last but not least I had an awesome T-mold set in play. I think I forgot to take pics that night but I really love them. Wasn't really sure I'd ever love solids but they're just the perfect combo of colors for my preferences and on a great mold. Reminds me of local casino tourneys I played in well before becoming a chipper. Here is the set that a kind chipper was nice enough to sell to me.

Aside from that you may have noticed the double mat duty in my pics. Working on a felt and getting a proper table. At this point I'm hoping it's ready by fall. I'll be delighted not to have to make such a reach for chips as a dedicated dealer!

So I haven’t hosted a formal home game yet, it’s always been spur of the moment when my immediate family gets the itch to gamble but we took it to a whole other level (a low level) in that we were playing 4 handed .50/.50 NLH on a round dining room table using dominos from the Mexican train setup we had laying around. Wish I had taken a photo but didn’t think of it in the moment. Mean while I’ve got my Paulsons sitting at home (shaking head). Doh!
