Does your crew realize how lucky they are to play with this whole set?
We are super lucky to have several chippers in our group who have great sets, and a few in the group do realize it. But as you might imagine, some don’t care about the chips. In fact, one mentioned just last night that “you can get a big set of chips super cheap right now at Walmart.”

But our guys are spoiled and some are starting to see how much nicer is it to play with good chips. One non-chipper said he hates playing at the gardens now (a local casino) because “their chips suck.”

In that case, I should have said $50 set vs $5000  :ROFLMAO:

I agree the average player can barely tell the difference between the $50 set of China Clays and the $5000 Paulsons. My group does enjoy playing with different sets though - it adds a bit of variety into the mix.

I like the nice chips, and there are always a few serious players who can tell.
The quality poker table is what my friends mostly gush over, although they're happy to play with great cards/chips. One guy still asks what the denoms are every single game; you'd think "read the f*cking chip" for the tenth plus time would eventually stick in his brain but here we are.

But... what are the denoms?

Donkey racing was a blast as well. @TricycleClub finally won a race:

And we decided to do a daily double ($2/4/6/8 scratches), which turned into four daily doubles and the pots got pretty insane. I ended up taking 3/4 of pot three straight times so I think I used up all my run good. Such a blast.

Wow, very nice! how many racks do you have?

Local home game last night.

First hand, get KK in LP, raise 4xBB and everyone folds. Next hand, get AA. I knew it was gonna be a good night.

Got down to heads up against last year's champion. He's super aggro, so I knew all I had to do was slow play a monster against him. Sure enough, I doubled up and crippled him. I also flopped quad kings; I got no action, but won the quads jackpot for $27 ($1 per buyin per week funds the jackpot, so someone must've hit it three weeks ago).

Once I had 95% of the chips in play, I just waited for the tower to topple. He hit a queen on a board of AQ5hh and shoved into my AKhh. Easy call for the win.

I brought back a nice, large set that can handle both a regular cash game and limit. We rarely play limit - I think this is only our third time ever- but I’ve never had a limit set before and the opportunity to build a set with sharp Paris chips was irresistible.

We ended up getting all twenty racks of my $1s on the table last night and I loved it. Originally, I was thinking I might only keep ten racks for limit, but allowing players to build giant chip stacks was so fun, I think I’m going to keep it all.

Got to use the Pharaohs tonight

Finally remembered to take a pic at my regular game hosted by @MrCatPants What a great host and a fun group of players.

Also thanks to @nlhenerd for the card capper from his custom CPC set. Brought me a little luck tonight as I didn't go home with empty pockets like I usually do. In for $80 and out for $107.

Should have posted last night, unfortunately both @Highli99 sitting to my right and I both never really got it going to take a monster stack pic. But was an honor to finally get the Lady Lucks in play, we have owned that set for what almost two years at this point.

Since I sucked soo bad, for those that don't know what they all look like, this is the line up

I know they are not Aztars, unfortunately we weren't around for that buy. But I personally think this is an easy second place to those. We did get (4) T5K lemons in play at the final table, I went out bubble plus one but Ms. Brie @FordPickup92 managed to squeeze our a beautiful 3rd place cash from and extremely short stack for the entire final table! Congratulations on the cash for our beautiful Lady Lucks debut.

As for cash, Harry @longflop (our host) wanted to try something new so we brought the Super Poker World ceramics, they play kind of short there only buying in for $50 max and I only had hundos and a single $20 left... I heard "Drawmaha" called from the other table, ran over and bought in for my $20. Very first hand I get dealt 2 pair in the hole, could improve on the draw and 4 cards to the flush on the board and I knew my 8H baby flush was no good, but thought 2 pair in the hole would hold. Unfortunately a better two pair saw my $20 buy in last a grand total of about 2 minutes! Haha

Went back and watched the end of the tourney.

Great Night Harry, thank you again for being and ama,ing host, and the opportunity to felt two awesome sets in one night! "YOU DA MAN HARRY!" IN my best Asian offshore drilling investment conglomerate voice! Lol

The lady luck's were so minty and crisp, just beautiful chips. @Ben8257 and @FordPickup92 keep bringing guest sets that get better and better. You guys are the best!

They say dogs can recognize emotion. Dewey knew that Ben needed a hug.

Well... atleast the ole "red rocket" was still in its holster for this pic... after we made out for a couple minutes, it was at full attention. Man that would have made for an awkward photo! Lmao
