Playing this afternoon/evening as a prior commitment kept me from hosting last night. Core group of 8, including my teenage son will be in attendance and my bride has graciously offered to make us a tray of baked ziti with her homemade sauce. I do not deserve to live such a blessed life, I can assure you.

My son is responsible for setting up the table, and although I have about a dozen cash sets he has been putting out the first set I ever owned which was a law school graduation gift from my sister in law. They are nothing fancy and are the least aesthetically pleasing of all the cash sets that I have. That being said, it is comforting to come to the realization that my son will likely ensure that these continue to see felt time after I am gone.

Enjoy your families and friends today.

A little 3-handed hold'em with Mrs Zombie. Mrs Zombie scoops the chips after the turn, with a pot-sized bet that gets me to fold. However, I did tank for a while, even folded my second hand while deciding (is that an angle-shoot?). She shows her bluff with an open-ended draw. I could not call, because all I had was a draw - the same draw.

We use our heads up games to discuss strategy as well as for monies. She questions the two cards she tossed vs keeping and flips her second discarded hand. Simply put, I had to agree with her action.

Stunned by the similarity in discarded hands (we had been playing for about an hour and a half at this point), I flipped my first discarded hand. She did the same.

OK math geniuses, WTF the odds that would have happened?

About one in tree fiddy

First time using the new table! Session was a blast, lots of newbies for 5c/10c. Very happy to be back in the dealer seat but forgot how exhausting it is to teach people to pay attention, herding cats.

Friend came and was lecturing two new people about how after winning a bit they should place their original buyin in chips separately to the side and not gamble with that, effectively ratholing. This was also the same person yelling and telling the new players that if someone gets to the river they should demand everyone show their cards. Its legal, but we tried to explain that many people muck if they know they're not winning. She wasnt having that. Etiquette might as well be a type of French bread.

I feel your pain. Had a rough one last night dealing with one guy...

This was the second time felting my Club 72 set :)

Rough night for me as the donkey was hitting against me and bluffed off to a couple of the other players. Good for the game but on top of that he was annoying AF!!!

We started with spread limit Hold'em and switched to PLO later. I played well but my big draws with good odds never hit. If only my straight and flush draw hit when the donk bluffed the river with nothing!!!!!

In for $140 out for about $90.

I’m sorry, we are going to need the rundown on all your associates and the businesses they are associated with before we can give any opinions on how hands play out. The integrity of the hand in question can only be decided by examining everyone you’ve ever known and any previous nefarious activities you have ever been involved in and only then we can make a determination of probabilities based on the pertinent information. What transpired at the table is only incidental to determining if this was probable or not.

Yeah man, told my wife later that it was absolutely no about the money, its micro stakes lol, its just the incredible annoyance. We're hosting, free food drink table cards all of it, and Im getting shouted over and corrected about poker cause she played a different way growing up. Plus asked for disco to be played 5+ times after I said no requests. Impressively bad.

And that drink is beautiful! We had a similar drink for our wedding cocktail, New York Sour, bourbon sour with red wine floated over top. Delicious.

Hosted last night for the first time in years. 10 players to start in the All-in or fold tourney.

First, I gave the special Ukraine edition Skeletor chip from @Josh Kifer to my buddy. He’s Army and was in Ukraine before the war to train hundreds of Ukrainians on the Javelin.

All-in or fold bounty tourney with the Mirage set. My brother in law won.

I was out early and started a hold’em table, then moved to start a mixed game table as players were eliminated from the tourney.

Brutal hand of Showmaha, where our Army hero flopped and showed the straight. He rivered the boat, but that river also gave my cousin a straight flush. :vomit:
