A lucky river card to give my oppenent a full house to beat my nut flush or it would have been a $3000 profit night. I cashed out after that hand being up stuck I didn’t want to go on tilt.

I hate them. But the host isn’t changing and I make too much money from the game to want to ruffle his feathers too much.

Not a home game, but I played my first live tournament today. CSOP/WSOP Early Bird Short Stack.. $25 buy in. Was nervous as all hell, but I made it to the final table and placed 5th. Got paid $150. Thought I played pretty decent, maybe a little too tight. Folded AJ suited and AK suited to a big raiser who was showing good cards. Here's some pics...Cheers to a month playing poker.

In this case, Dominion. Our standard is Blacks for buys and Golds for $. In this case, we used other chips to denote special abilities.

Kiss of death. Took a pic of my stack. Never won another hand. Went on a 5-6 hand heater, and tripled up without sitting down.

Great couple of nights of tournament poker at @pokerplayingpisces place. Played well for about 20 mins and then did not for the rest. Great time though.

Andy also give me this cool St. Patrick's Day chip. Thanks again!

Playing .50/1 NL HE, 50/.50 PLO mixed. 6 handed but just lost two players. Calling it shortly. My table, their chips. Slippery Stars 11.5s. Official weight i think.

OM gosh, these were my first cash set after the plastic dice-ish chips..I ended up giving them to a friend who wanted to start a tourney. these are heavy and feel like rubber almost..

Last night was our Hall of Fame Game, where we inducted our 4th member. Slightly smaller than usual turnout of 16; still a great size!

First - lots of food and dessert. @Poker Zombie made Sous Vide and Smoked Chicken. This was accompanied by turkey chili, salad with homemade dressing, veggie platter, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, artichoke dip, hummus, and a few other dipping items.

For desserts, home made chocolate cheesecake, ambrosia salad, brownies with peanut butter cups in them, brownies with frosting, and Little Debbie items.

Then we kicked off the awards. Our friend Ellen was the emcee and announced our various recognitions for the 2017 year.

I presented our Hall of Fame Inductee.

Melissa accepted the honors.

Then we kicked off the night. As this was daylight savings evening, the bonus for the night was the "loser of the hour". Here PZ explains that the person with the lowest chip stack at the end of the first hour will receive the bonus.

Took a bit, but finally down to the final table. I spent that time chatting in the kitchen and eating.

I wasn't in the hand and the money went in on the turn. Still a legit holdem Royal Flush.

Edit: Someone also hit a straight flush vs my A high flush in Hold'em. Man...cold cold deck.

Game from last Sunday (.50/1 nl holdem) I was down $370.

Tuesday game. .25/.25 nl and plo round for round, up $435.

Lots... of... Action.

Not hard to tell the player behind this stack was wrecked.

And thus my purchase of Apache's offering. Seemed like a great option for a universal board game set. Might even add on to it once they get here....we'll see.
