Ordered these rail aligners that you solder to the bottom of the track. Good for lift up or lift out sections and T-Trak modules. @slisk250

Found this "configure your own" modular power supply. Needed 12v-16v and 18v-22v. Couldn't find a power supply that had those ranges so this 6 slot modular power supply fits the bill.

Took a while to find the correct combination of switches and crossovers that would work; 4 to 6 station tracks. The goal was to be able to go to any track, coming from any track, in any direction. o_O

6 double slip switches
1 LH turnout
1 RH turnout
1 crossover

You do realize these trains are small enough that you can just pick them up and move them to a different track, right? That would be so much easier. ;)

Lot of technical stuff here. How about some badass tracks and such…

New main terminal board setup. Much easier to wire, configure, and troubleshoot issues.

I took that pic before the last detector module came in. Hard to find Roco brand items in the US. I couldn't have an empty space there. :p I can definitely make use of the additional detection zones. I still have a ton of wires to run. I only have some test tracks on the topside so there isn't really much to show yet. I had to pause working on it last year due to medical issues. Things are looking better now and hopefully will stay that way.

Found these neat storage boxes. Open one box vs 6 small boxes.

The key is getting them out of the boxes. Just like chips need to hit the felt, trains need to hit the rails! :p

It looks like you've been working on this setup for a while, what's your timeline on getting something up and running?

This was always my big stumbling block in transitioning from this:

....to something bigger, badder and more realistic. I just don't have the patience to put the months / years into a setup without being able to run them.

I do have some tracks where I test/program engines and run cars on. I enjoy the entire process of building the layout and making changes along the way. Just taking my time and doing what I can, when I can.

Got these today. Custom made by a guy in GB. These are great for yards and leading into a station.
