Does a wood-fired pizza oven count? Just got an Ooni for Father’s Day, and I’m planning to do pizza (duh) and steaks.

Still on the living room floor, post-assembly, but it’ll be joining the Weber soon enough.

Made a pork shoulder over the weekend thinking it was the same as pork butt. Imagine my surprise when I found that big shoulder bone! Pork shoulder is okay, but has less marbling, so it's dryer. Live and learn!
How big was the shoulder roast? I am not an expert but I had always thought the picnic roast and the butt roast were the two halves of the shoulder. I might have the names mixed up though. Maybe if there are any butchers on here they can educate me lol.

1st ever brisket trim complete. 16 lbs before i took a knife to it, didn’t weigh it after. Back in the cooler for a few hours before it gets rubbed down. This will go on somewhere between 10PM-midnight.

If I don’t follow up again, it’s because things went horribly wrong! :wtf:

Matt Pitman has a weekday brisket recipe on YouTube. It’s never failed me. The meat is perfect every time.

I was here last week! If we give her ample time and let her stay but ship the kids off, we can handle the grill while she handles the beef tenderloin.
Can we hire that babysitter to babysit while your wife cooks and then deal after?

Going to be an awesome few days for this thread.

My kamado table just came in. Too heavy to move so probably won’t have it ready till next week.
