I sipped whiskey for the first time in what seems like a month last night. It was a wheated store pick Jefferson Voyage 22. I really liked it, but given my not drinking much lately, I would not trust my opinion. I could have had Ten High, or Jack Daniels 10yr, or Popov Vodka and thought they were great I imagine. Like not getting action for a while, you'd take anything and think it was awesome!

I’ve said it a few times on toasted and double oaked bottles. But I’m sure that I wasn’t the only one.
It’s a really good offering. I use to find it easily and stocked up. Glad that I did because it’s not so easy anymore.

They changed the label. I was super excited when it came out but was disappointed. If they changed the label then maybe they changed what’s inside. I’ll try it again

So I like me some sweet drinks, especially when the weather is warmer. I had some of this in the fridge:
A week or two ago, I made a whiskey sour with it. I used some whiskey that I didn't like so much. Well, as it turns out, it also made a whiskey sour that I didn't like so much.
Trying again tonight, with a whiskey I liked a lot more. Whaddya know, the whiskey sour was just that much better. The ratio both times was 3:1 mix:whiskey. I guess if you have some skunky whiskey, it's hard to hide it unless you're diluting it A LOT, like in a Long Island Iced Tea, or some kind of punch that ends up at 5% abv.
