Back at my favorite whiskey bar, with my favorite bartender, who pours me extremely heavy 1.5 Oz pours that tip the scales at close to twice that.

I see that delivery on Friday! Crazy fast, but crazy expensive delivery so I guess it evens out
so what I do is every time there is a bottle I think I want I put it on my wishlist there. Aside from things that are domestic it's basically always cheaper there for me. Then, when I get near 500 i use wishlist bottles those to get over 500. I also clear out the list a few times a year and just go buy everything on it at others when the total of the wishlist is over. Frequently if you are north of 400 it's cheaper to just throw on some things to get over 500.

I went into work early and my beautiful wife waited in line for these. Really looking forward to trying the MM Cellar Aged. Hoping to pick up some more in the next few days.

Congrats. Those look great.

Lemme know if any of y’all find another cellar aged, I’m trying to find one myself

This is good advice and some thing I'll keep in mind for the future.

Gorgeous weather has returned! Was in the mood for something a little peaty tonight.

I really like it and I personally think it’s a better whiskey than Blantons. If you can find it at its $50 msrp, definitely worth a try. They’ve become very difficult to find over the last year or so.
How does the Bowman’s Small Batch compare?

I'm always ordering from them, Dave, but in many occasions, I just want one or two bottles which makes shipping steep, and ended up passing.

If you are in situations when you're short of the 500 for free shipping, just drop me a line and we can share the order. Or the other way around as well... Kind of a 2 person GB! LOL!!!

The small batch is decent and definitely worth a try at its $35 msrp. I think it drinks a little hot for only being 90 proof. It sort of reminds me of a spicier Buffalo Trace. The single barrels are clearly aged longer and it definitely shows in the nose, palate and finish and the proof point of 100 is just about perfect for this. I get hints of EHT single barrel with the Bowman SiB. Snap buy at its $50 msrp IF you can find it.

Thanks for the info. I will keep these on my watch list. I can get the small batch for $26 and the Single Barrel for $43 at my local Total Wine.
