I'll join you...gonna be 74 and sunny here tomorrow. Perfect day for sleeping in and doing a little yard work.View attachment 1292102
I’ll definitely be sleeping in, but since I did all of my yard work on Sunday, I’m gonna enjoy our 80 degree day hitting the outdoor pistol range! I’ll join you in having a pour of OESQ next

What do you do when you’re off til Monday, your yard work is already done and Mrs. Baroo has to work in the office today? You inventory your whiskey cabinet so she doesn’t see just how many bottles you have crammed in there

I know this is just the tip of the iceberg for a few of you, but these 40 bottles or so are pretty much maxing out the capacity of the cabinet. Not to mention the Mrs. thinks anything over 10-15 is way too many

I think you forgot a zero in there somewhere.....

Right????

No???

Then:
Many years ago I did residential and light commercial HVAC…if I won’t even crawl my fat ass into my own crawl space to service my air handler, I sure as hell ain’t hiding bottles in there  :ROFLMAO:

I got into industrial HVAC and building management for that very reason. Attics and crawls suck lol

Bunker the unopened bottles in the garage or a closet. Nobody looks in old cardboard boxes.

And before anyone says to just get a bigger cabinet, just know that idea got shot down in flames lol

I got a big cabinet for all my bottles but I had way more bottles so I hid them in the basement cabinet. She found them and didn’t say anything. But now I have to buy a new dining table. Fair trade I guess

My favorite rye and plentiful in DE, but the price just went up $9 to $70.
$70 is what I’ve been typically paying for it when I find it. Worth every penny imo! Got my last 4-5 bottles of it from LoveScotch online. They’re one of the few online retailers that will ship to me in NC. We can’t get any Willett branded products here anymore since they stopped doing business with NC ABC 4-5 years ago.

A buddy of mine had a dusty case of old bourbon that was purchased well before the boom. I forget what brand but it was a distillery that stopped operating. The bottles were purchased for ~$25 and were now worth about $2k each.

A few months ago he opened the box and discovered 3 bottles were missing. Turns out his wife found them and was using then for cooking. For years. Without him knowing. Oooops!
