Oh What A Beautiful Sunset This Is (1 Viewer)

Beautiful chips Bill, excited to use them. My favorite color is the hundo, love that green. Wish we'd see them more, maybe we need to raise our stakes!

I would not recommend linking Tarlo to this thread as you referenced the chips you sold him as "piece of shit" and "horrible".

I meant compared to cpc. He thinks im insane for buying these anyways.

Those came out incredibly well. Congrats on such a sweet set.

They were great for their price point. Sucked that they started falling apart after I gave them to him. I kept them for 6 years. I just could never get over the china clay feel to them.

"piece of shit" is probably an over statement.

I texted Tarlo pictures of the set. His first response is "How much"..........I told him the price tag. His second response "are you out of your fucking mind". Then I thanked him for his third of the set that he paid for out of his losses at the felt to me :)

You meant the $25, right Mike? :D:D:D:D:D The hundos are DG Saturn...

That reminds me the day Bill made some comments about Jason's play here ITF and he read it, LOL!!!

Happy New Year man! Hope to see you soon...

I apologized for that fwiw. Tarlo is just a hater against nice chips

Could be that he is just a cheapskate
I resemble that remark.

I actually always liked those china clays, except that damn flaking. DG Saturn huh...is that a yellowish green? Whatever it is Iike it. I really like the colors for each chip and I bet they look even better in person.

@mike32

In order, Dayglo Tiger, Retro Blue, Retro Lavender, Dayglo Green, Dayglo Saturn

impromptu cash game tonight. 8-10 players. Getting the sunsets back into play. Excited about that.

Going back to a HOPE format. Well, making it HOPES :)

going to use the seating buttons that I got from @Phantom for the game. We don't normally draw for seats. I've done that at a few recent cash games and I kind of like it.

Love the fact that the inlays match the chip colors!
I second this !!!!!!! I wouldve gone more tournament style with this type of chips but whatever floats your boat !! it is custom after all lol

Why tourney style? just curious.

just my personal preference.. this reminds me of a plain minimum customized unspotted tournament type chip.. Don't get it wrong though, the inlays are very beautiful and unique, just doesn't catch my eye for some reason and they sorta remind me of plastic chips.. i dont know why, maybe i'm just a poker noob so dont mind me

The Fleur mold from CPC is "smooth" in the inlay area , unlike some of their other molds, which have a micro grain or texture there, so when the inlay is pressed in, it retains the smooth/slick/shiny finish, and doesn't get the texture/ micro crosshatch of some of the other molds ..
This may be why you are getting that impression, but holding a fleur up close will confirm it's a good clay chip ... ..

Thank you for the indepth info... makes sense.. I knew they weren't any bad, just didnt know why.. I guess i'm just not use to it but that inlay is really superb and top notch.. truly unique and one of a kind!

I think anything other than solids would have been a mistake. The inlay is the hero here on a really nice mold. Otherwise theyd have been to busy and distracting.
