I have forty of the Hercules chairs for the foldup tables at The Post. For the money I think they are the way to go.
The Costco ones look like the ones I currently have. They are comfortable. But from what I gather from others here is that the Hercules is much better. For a few bucks more I will try and get them.Have you sat on the Costco ones before? Im curious how they compare in comfort.
The Hercules is plenty comfy. Not hard at all and much cushier than the ones with a thin layer of padding. I was able to pick mine up locally though...shipping pretty much doubles the price.
thisIt never ceases to amaze me that people spend less on chairs than any other major component of their game.
$1k for chips? No problem.
$800 table? No problem
$500 for chairs? Are you crazy? I can get something way less comfortable for $200 at Walmart.
I won't play in a game after I start getting uncomfortable. I won't show to a game if I know I'll be uncomfortable within a couple hours.

4" of foam cushioned seating is nice. Seat cushions are also an option.
So... I was photographing an event last night that had these chairs and I got to test them out. Fairly comfy, but it seems like the foam is not durable at all. The event organizer said the chairs were less than a year old, and you can see the foam was already becoming compressed (note the wrinkles in the wrap fabric on the front edge).
Now, maybe these chairs saw a lot of use in the last 12 months, I don't know. Just know going in that it's not a durable prodcut. Seeing these durability issues I would not spend $28 on them... but they're definitely still on my radar at $20.
I realize spending $90 on real poker room chairs is not realistic for most of us, but even at a fraction of that cost, these probably won't last very long. YMMV

PS: I still plan on buying some of these chairs, even with this info/experience.

I've used these for the past 8 years and they've held up great. Perhaps not the most attractive, but they're sturdy and comfortable (IMO). And they really don't take up more space than folding chairs since they stack easily.
At $20/each, they're a pretty decent value.
Any chance you checked the underside for the manufacturer? You think these were the Hercules chairs?
So my wife found these at Costco for $15. I havent seen them in person. She didnt like the color much but they are cheap. Anyone used these? Are they comfortable?
