Here's an updated version of the cash set:

And the tournament set:

EDIT: Changed my mind again, but I think I'm liking this a whole lot better.

I like the look of the old quarter better, but 1/8 to 1/4 progression does make sense, as does "quartering" the chip instead of breaking it into thirds. Love the new $20!

For the tournament set, I think that $1k is the nuts and definitely prefer the new $500 over the old.

One thought, and it may be for naught - the name of the set/club is The Palo Verde Lounge. What about making the palo verde $25 really sparkle? It obviously would be a little out of place from a spot progression standpoint, but the color is also the embodiment of your club. Anywho, just a thought. It works as is.

What did you have in mind for the T25?

Here's my thoughts so far.

Keeping yellow, since that's the color of the palo verde flower. The flower itself is a brighter yellow, but kept the dayglo in keeping with the pale theme. Selected imperial blue for the compliment since I imagine light green is what you'd get if you mixed the spot colors. My two fav's of the bunch are in positions 1 and 2.

Anywho, just ideas. Like them or hate them; incorporate or reject...it's your set, so its FAR more important that you like them than that I do. :)

Keep in mind, I'm only extrapolating from patterns listed on their page.

For 618, there are multiple x18 patterns, including 4DSA18, in the level 4 group, so not sure why 618 would be any higher than 4.

As for 414418, that one wouldn't be a whole lot different than a 4V12, which is also a Level 4 - it's one large set of shapes w/one smaller set of shapes. Even if you went alternating colors - a 4VA12 - that's still only a level 5, so for 414418 I would be shocked as hell if it was higher than a level 6.

I saw your reasoning as to why you want to have a T5 chip, but a T5 and a T1000 existing in the same set seems bizarre to met.

I would seriously consider dropping the T5 and adding a T5000 and go with 10k or 20k starting stacks.

Always personal preference, maybe I'm in the minority. But I would suggest getting some other opinions or really thinking it over how useful a T5 is.

just my 2c

T500/T1000 for rebuys/add-ons for T1000-T2500 starting stacks. The set also handles T5000-T15000 tourneys.

FYI 414418 is HIGH ask payback. He got his $5 remade with that spot and iirc it was $4+ per chip.

It might not look like a hard spot, but there is no 418 punch so the chip spots need to be punched out 3 times. One 414 punch then two 218 punches. Just because a spot pattern may not look complex it doesn't mean there isn't more labor involved compared to other chips.

I stand corrected! Seems unusual that there wouldn't be a 418 punch, but if there isn't, there isn't. How unfortunate...that's at least *somewhat* close to v's with stripes.

It's a chipper's prerogative to change their mind. I made a couple of changes and wanted to see what people thought. Keep in mind that the inlay is a very rough draft and I know I'll have to resize it a tad.

Really like the new inlay! Really miss the blue spots on the $1! The maroon still looks good, though, and is slightly reminiscent of the Stardust $1 (which ain't a bad thing!).

Thanks Scott! I really like the Stardust $1 chips and my first mock-up was a bright white $1 with 414 spots that were all retro lavender. I like the two lowest denominations being the simplest.

I think your cash set spot progression works much better if the $5 and $20 are swapped. Also not a fan of using DG Yellow spots on adjacent chips, and a bit surprised to find maroon in this set, since none of the other colors are weighted (and I know you dislike the metal flake look). See below for some ideas incorporating all of those items......

I'm really dead-set on the $5 chip; it was the chip I knew I wanted from the very beginning. As far as using maroon on the $1, it won't bother me to only have the flakes in the spots I don't think.

I also changed the DG yellow spot on the $20 chip to DG Saturn. I'm going to order samples of all the day-glo colors of course before I make up my mind. The $20 is the hardest chip for me to settle on.

I know there is a lot of love around here for CPC maroon, but I think it's a not a very pretty color. Too dark imo, almost black - would have been much better if closer to a burgundy hue. I don't think you'll like it on bright white.

Definitely like the retro lav on the 1 better than the maroon, but if you go that route I would suggest a spot on the quarter that isn't pink or lavender.

I might (probably) be in the minority but I liked the maroon on the one. I've always liked white/maroon as a color combo
