Paymaster sample sets - GOCC ceramics (2 Viewers)

Full set + DB, please.

And make sure to include one of each $5 you produce... ;)
There will be only be one of each chip! There is a different format for the .25/.50, $1/$5, and the $25/$100 but there will only be one version of each chip.

i dunno what you are paying your car artist guy and Johnny5, but imo, it is totally worth every. fucking. penny.

Johnny5 has not presented me with a quote yet but the artist has. Let's just say this, art and design will definitely cost me more than the chips themselves lol.

Well then obviously you're just not buying enough chips ;)
Ha! I had this conversation before I even announced the project. I started at 1000 and got talked up to 1600. If I remember correctly either Abby's or Trihonda's parting shot was I should round it to an even 2000.

And on top of that, you'll need an extra 10-12 racks of $1 chips for a proper limit game. So now we're at 3200. Might as well round it up to 4000. Plus samples. So figure another 400 chips. Now we're at 4400. Round up again, boom, 5000 chips. See, that wasn't so hard (y)

Obvious answer is obvious.

No one has ever had a single home cash set of 10,000 chips before have they?

I'm almost embarrassed to say that I'm pretty sure that there has been. More than one, even. We're all sickos, but some are more afflicted than others. Only known cure is moar chipes.

OK, OK you guys are killing me. I just ordered a set where the numbers of chips were reduced to cuts costs with the full intent on adding more to the hoard later. The size of the set will end up being 2000+ chips to support any game with massive piles of chips. And then we account for future inflation and get more of the larger denominations...and on and on it goes. A sickness it is.

Both the base Hitching Post sets are +2000. For the tournament set I can easily support a 50+ player tournament so I feel good about it. But for the cash set I still feel like I need more $5s. And also I plan on getting about 2000 $2s for limit.

We are sick sick sick peole

Yurgh, in one set? I don't know why I'm surprised.

I'd say ok how about 20,000 but I'm afraid that would just get a slow shake of the head from you.

That wasn't so hard, was it?

Now I bet the art work costs less than the chips. See how I just saved you money  :ROFLMAO:
Economies of scale work a lot better when you aren't the only person buying something [emoji20]

Initially, I thought I'd offer to buy a big-ass set, but then I thought.... "hmmm, I can just go over to Tom's and play with his." ;)

Some revisions from John, the .25 and $1 now both feature finished car art. I liked the racing stripe ring a lot, some pack more punch than others though. Kind of difficult to come up with two accent colors for each chip without getting a lot of repetition.

Besides adding the other cars John and I are starting to discuss the rolling edge as well.

those are awesome, i hope no clarity is lost with the intricate details when they are printed

That is a worry. John and I have been in discussion though and I think he feels the level of detail we are doing should be printable. Originally I wanted the Paymaster on the car door to be in red but John told me not to as he was afraid that could set up a bleed issue. GOCC does the best printing job of any of the ceramic makers also IMO, but yeah, it's definitely a concern.

Tom you must be absolutely thrilled with the designs after thinking these might not get off the ground. Those look spectacular.

Bring the badass toolbox full of them to Louisville. We'll make sure they see enough action to make Buddy proud.

John had sent me some mockups previously that he asked me not to share that were only meh. This is pretty much 100% my fault as he was following my instructions exactly. I told him to switch some things up and gave him more free rein and then last week he hit me with the first mockups I posted. It was a light speed jump in quality. He asked me what I thought and I said let me get a towel first.

These are damn close to perfect from what I wanted. I am over the moon, both John and Ian are killing it.

Now I just need to get the dealer button done as I can sense Courage's impatience waiting for starter girl.

Hard to improve on that... maybe ask if they can have her stick her hip out just a bit more. :p

These are looking great (first viewing was on my phone). I love the light turquoise quarter (or whatever it may be). One concern would be the $25 in pots with those since they have very similar accent colors and I'm assuming may appear on rolling edge as well.

edit: I always speak in CPC colors to J5 when helping with ceramics lol, so maybe on the quarter blurple and maroon? Might consider the hundo with dg firetiger, although the arc yellow/peach looks good too. I'm sure they'll be winners no matter what you do...

I think the "spot" colors are the biggest thing we have to work on right now tbh.

Hmmm the spot colors are very similar between the .25 and the $25

It's the universal language!

Quite often CPC color samples are the only real color reference between myself and a customer, and there's no reason they can't be used for ceramics, table layouts or anything else really.

What do you think about going a different route and doing orange/bright red on the quarter?

Would that be too much red in the set, though? You already have a pink 50c and red $5.

Have you considered blue, perhaps the blue from the car on the $1?

Well there is blue on the hundo as well. You do hit a point where every shift shifts something else lol

Actually the only real red in the set right now is on the $5. There is pink on three of the chips but moving the quarter to red would take that down to two.
