I don't think I tried the triple Maduro before but maybe a long time ago. it is nice.

Another fine day.

I haven't bought cigars in more than 7 years and a buddy of mine asked me for recommendations (US market). I suggested the Padron 1964 which he loved and has asked for more. Any suggestions? Mid to full bodied.

Anything Fuente, Ashton Symmetry, My Father La Bijou, and Rocky Patel Decades.

Started off with Blackworks Green Hornet that’s been sitting at the bottom of a humidor aging for roughly 5 years. Was a nice sweet nuttiness that I expect from their sticks but the draw was absolutely awful and I quit 1/3 in. Perfecdraw is in the car and I don’t let sunk cost fallacy effect my smoking.

Switched to an HUHC which I forgot to photo but was the usual deliciousness.

Finishing up with a few of these montecristo cigarillos I love.

The Lancero is a much underappreciated size. When done right it's a wonderful thing. Ib the hands of an average blender it can peel your scalp back.
Love love lanceros - for a long time my go to vitola. Been reaching for toros now for a while now

I use to gravitate to the larger ring guages, 52, 54, occasionally a 60, but, I rarely smoke anything above a 50 now. Corona, especially Cuban, and robusto make up the bulk of what I choose.

Lanceros are an interesting Vitola because so many people seem to really like them and yet cigar makers say that they hate them, that people don't buy them, that people say that they like them and then they don't sell. Come on, Steve Saka made a lancero called 'now leave me the hell alone'.

I'm wondering if it is something like people who smoke a LOT don't smoke them. So if people are buying a box a week or something, that person doesn't like lanceros, the person who is smoking year round doesn't like lanceros. So if I smoked a cigar a week during when it was nice outside I might go through a box of Oliva V Lanceros(36) in a year. Someone smoking 3 robustos a day is gonna buy a box(25) a week. If your job is selling cigars, yeah, 'people don't like lanceros'.

Maybe a Lancero is a casula cigar smokers cigar and other vitolas are preferred by other more frequent smokers(maybe more nicotine or smoking time?). And obviously, if you are smoking habanos, lanceros are really few and far between. As a casual smoker I like them for as others said, the wrapper leaf.

Ridiculously smooth stick, btw. Like smoking chocolate.
Back in the early 90's, when I worked at the cigar shop, I would smoke the heck out of the Fuente robust. Hell, all of them really, the 858, Canones, Double Chateau, back then they were about the best smokes going. Oh, don't forget the Partagas #10.
