Holy crap, I just learned this about smoking in Mexico when googling.

https://www.holts.com/clubhouse/cuban-cigars/buying-cuban-cigars-in-mexico

Of course I booked a family trip to Cancun as a college graduation present for my triplets that are graduating over the next couple of weeks. Ban in all public places of all places, Mexico???? F-Me! Going to have to find a way. LCDH better be allowing it. I read folks are not allowed in humidors now.

I'm calming down a bit after doing some searches on reddit and whatnot. They don't seem to be enforcing it so much in the Hotel Zone. If I can just sit on the balcony and smoke some sticks I'll be okay. It's not like smoking on the beach, but I'll take it.

I have to admit though that My Father and Don Pepin do not have the pepper bite I used to get upon lighting them up. Actually I'm not getting any pepper in these. I love pepper. Pepper is why 601 red is my favorite stick of the 601s, but even those don't seem to have consistent pepper.

I find Don Pepin Cuban Classic keeps the pepper hitting where the Blue Original mellows after the 1st 3rd.

I have switched to tat black label to scratch the peppery itch. My father sticks are great but I always find that they’re never “best in slot” for me. Something spicy = tat, something super full bodied = plasencia etc

I know they’re nothing special, but I’m not a cigar aficionado. But I do enjoy an Ashton on the patio on the New England coast.

Why would you say that? Ashton's are a great smoke! Any cigar you like is a great smoke. Nobody here is cigar snubbing anyone. That's the beauty of cigars and why there are thousands of brands and sizes. Share your opinion and it could persuade someone who never had one to try. Don't let a picture of someone smoking a Cuban with a brandy influence you because a Nicaraguan with a Bud Light is just as good if not better if that's your style. Just light up, enjoy & share my brother. It's how we all bond together.

Sounds great, wish my local shop carried those, would love to try one, guess I will have to stop in some different shops

Can you get good sticks for $4 or less on cigarbid.com? That is my usual price point.

Go on cigarbid.com
It's the same as cigarsinternational.com
But closeout prices. You'll be able to smoke great cigars at ⅓ of the cost
ok @chippitydoodah , i say this with love, I HATE YOU

I have just waste 3 hours of my day looking at the freefall items and picking up some good smokes I probably did not need.
