View attachment 894526Anyone bought any Cubans lately? I’m starting to run low. Can’t beat the Patagas imo.
Learned about plume/bloom from this post. Good stuff.

I haven’t purchased any Cubans for around 6+ months. Focused more on Fuente and Padron at the moment. I am watching for a few Cubans but haven’t seen them for sale recently. Seems there’s relatively high demand.

Plume is mold.

Plume is not a real thing.

The pic above has fuzzy mold on his cigars.
Please explain why the Cubans have “mold” and the others don’t. Since plume “isn’t real”.

Sorry, not being a dick, but what people call plume or bloom, is indeed mold.
So your justification is a study some guy on an Internet forum did of 10 cigars? For which you can’t even read or access the study? Not calling you a liar, but come on. Additionally at what RH (relative humidity) does mold form? Because mine rarely gets over 67%, since 2018.

Whoa! That's pretty wild. So, in sum, according to this study there is only mold, and the cigar sellers hawking "plume/bloom" are making it up? I love the 4th or 5th comment after the study, the guy who says he still believes in plume/bloom; even though he's never seen the crystals, he's sure they are out there and they'll be found to prove him correct. Maybe that was a troll post, though.

Correct. It's all a form of mold. Now I'm not saying folks who think it makes their cigars better are wrong, but it's not the magical cigar crusty oils some would try and sell.
