I still don’t understand why people have these derail parties on active threads. Even if you have tacit approval of @Tommy I don’t get it. You can start an off-topic thread to talk about your balls all day every day. Why do it here?

I agree with @upNdown, but I not as ballsy / vocal as him to sound it out.

@upNdown - ^this, plus hitting the Ignore button on those who offend you with repeated derailing are fairly effective in reducing your exposure to things that upset you. Shouting at clouds seems less effective to me (although I really do enjoy watching a good cloud shouting session, almost as much as I enjoy watching a thread devolve into a lively discussion about drunken debauchery and weird fixation on other member's scrotum aromas...)
