Pens: you can use them for writing things down (1 Viewer)

I just read the OP for the first time. 0.7 mm? Enjoy your crayon. That's not a pen. :D

Yeah I snuck a pencil in on the pen thread !!

27 years ago, in the early days of webzines, I wrote an article reviewing cheap disposable pens. The site (Suck.com) is long gone, but amazingly the piece is archived at the Wayback Machine:

https://web.archive.org/web/20020221094128/http://www.suck.com/zerobaud/96/05/09/

The Uniball Vision and Pilot Varsity (both relatively new at the time) were top picks. Cheap disposables have come a long way since… This commission also gave me a chance to express my hatred of felt pens.

Funny story about the writing of the piece: I went to a Midtown Manhattan stationery store (remember stationary stores?) and bought one each of about 30 different cheap pens.

The cashier was not too pleased about having to ring up 30 different items. After about the 10th one, she yelled, ALL RIGHT, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE???!!!?

What's better than a Pilot Varsity? I had a fancy TWSBI with a bunch of different ink...

Pilot Varsity gets the job done in vibrant blue ink.
