My daughter took a good picture of our Bella this afternoon. It’s her favorite spot on the couch.

Well, this happened quickly. My wife saw a Facebook post from our favorite local dog rescue about two days ago, and now we have two dogs. Meet Daphne!

About a month ago, the town drunk in a small Iowa town was carrying Daphne and two of her siblings around town in a laundry basket trying to give them away, in the middle of a hot Iowa day. Fortunately, someone notified our rescue, who got all three pups. As of last night, all three have found their fur-ever homes.

My shelter rescue. I’ve had her for a year now, she was rather timid to start but has come into her own very nicely. Nice to see everyone’s critter comrades, like so many other proud pet parents, I’m happy to share the pic and super stoked to have her in my life!

Lost our first beagle, Bella, aged 14 almost a year ago. Still have 12 year old beagle, Bridget. Decided to add a non-delinquent to the mix, Bonnie. 11 week old black lab.

Oh boy. If you’ve never owned a Lab just know that you are in for it… for 3-4 years. Keep them tired and they will stay out of trouble.

I miss my Labs. They lived to be 12 and 13 but cancer got them both. Now we have “easier” dogs. Lol

But Labs are wonderful dogs once they grow out of the puppy phase.
