Been awhile since I've posted here. Been a crazy busy last couple months. Shipped off 2 boxes a few weeks ago, that I know have been shared by their owners, but wanted to share them here as well. Both of these boxes were challenging, but in completely different ways.

First one is made of an exotic wood called CheChen. It is incredibly heavy and dense, but truly gorgeous. The box was designed to hold 700 39mm chips, 240 43mm chips, and 2 60mm dealer buttons.

The second is a Shawshank Redemption themed box. Solid white oak with lots of laser engraving. Designed to hold 500 chips in removable racks. Art designs all came from the client @chipinla. Hardware (feet and latch) are incredibly high quality and made by Brusso.

Incredibly please with how both of these beautiful boxes came out. I truly enjoyed being challenged with these two.

If anyone wants to see more pics of my animal house box, check out:

awesome work!

Alec, what would the footprint look like for a case that can hold a tad more than 1100 chips? I'm not going to be needing it any time soon, but I'm scheming for the future.

So awesome Stephen!!! Love the wood in the Cantura Cantina box. The figuring on the inside of the top piece is spectacular. Alec really knows how to pick cool pieces of wood. What is the wood on that one? Also, can we get a better pic of these feet? Very cool! Also, that lock/latch (?) is interesting too. So many details. I see something new every time I look at the pics.

The Shawshank box is White Oak, (the type of tree from the movie), the Cantura is Walnut. All hardware is from www.leevalley.com/
Really nice high quality stuff.

Loved working with @alecnetwoodworks. Highly recommend if you’ve been thinking about going this route. Reasonable prices too!

This one is Cherry, 500-chips with space for two DB’s.

PS - the image on the case is part of the chip inlay. It’s a Banyan Tree, found in south Fla. J5 designed the chip inlay and simply supplied the image to Alec and he took it from there :)

Only 2 more… but one of them isn’t for chips… it’s to hold 4 decks of cards. Going to be a nice addition to the collection.
Much better! :ROFLMAO: ;) I look forward to seeing it! Your Shawshank Box inspired my own creation as I'm sure you can tell. I wish you wouldn't though, I just know I'll end up with a card box too...

Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing the card box too. Might have to ask Alec for a sneak preview...
