Low effort. Boooooo do you even custom bro!!!!
Oh man, I was told I needed a hot dog roller, BUT NOW I see I need a bun warmer too!
Great post and evolution of your chip life! Did you put the inlay stickers on yourself by hand one at a time?I am Texas Flood Poker Club.
Texas Flood is a reference to my love for both Texas and the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Many years ago, long before I ever dreamed of a poker room or being hooked on collecting these little discs, I was a home brewer and had aspirations of one day opening a little micro brewery. One of the names I kicked around was Texas Flood Brewing. Here is a label for one of my homebrews.

So after joining up here on PCF, and deciding that my recently purchased china clay starter set needed custom labels, I said "why not Texas Flood PokerClub?" And why not incorporate my love for beer and brewing with icons that represent brewing. Thus my first logo highlights the major ingredients of craft beer, hops, grain and water.

Not long after I purchased these china clay chips, I also got interested in cards mold. So I had this same label design put on a large custom tournament set created on ceramic Tina chips.

After that, the idea just kept expanding until I had a Dealer Button, cut cards, and playing card tuck boxes.

Now cards mold and china clays are all fine and dandy when you start out. But someday, I thought, I'm going to want a set of custom CPC chips, aren't I? And a new set of chips deserves a new and improved label design, doesn't it? So I decided a new design needed to properly showcase Stevie Ray Vaughan himself! I found a great piece of artwork that I loved, and I asked @Johnny5 to put this onto an inlay. And while I don't have the chips yet, and I'm still tweaking the colors, I do hope to oneday order these babies from CPC.

Do you have any pics of that set up? How do you deal with mosquitoes?Way to play outside with a light set up! Take note @Franzister
For the china clays, I sourced one inch, waterproof Avery Labels and printed those all myself on my color laser printer. Putting labels on by hand is not that big of a deal. Lots of people here do relabels from @Gear and put them on by hand.Great post and evolution of your chip life! Did you put the inlay stickers on yourself by hand one at a time?

Why do you ask this? Bang for the buck, it's a great printer. I'm very happy with the printed image. Especially on chips that cost less than 25 cents each. Wasn't going to spend more on the labels than on the chips.Would you use a different one next time?
My question was lacking context. I think your labels look great. But is there anything odd with the end result that would make you use a different printer, like a laser printer versus an inkjet type printer. I think most people have inkjet printers. Does the label smudge at all? What if you get it wet or greasy fingers touch the label? Why do you ask this?
Yeah, to get the labels centered, you have to print out the page of what you want on the labels, and then put them on top of the labels and see how close they are to centered and do it several times until you got it right. I used to do that for candy labels in another life. Haha.Canon MF644Cdw

But I probably would not do self printed labels again in the future. It is very difficult to get the image perfectly centered on the label. If I were on a tight budget, and didn't want to spend the money for Gear labels, I would use Sticker Mule.
Laser printer is a must for the labels I used. They have a smooth/slick surface and once they are printed, they won't smudge and are waterproof. I first starting using this type of label when I was labeling my homebrew beer bottles. Since I would throw the beers in a cooler with ice to take them places, I needed waterproof labels. I decided I wanted the same for the chips, because you never know what might get spilled onto them or be on someone's hands. My question was lacking context. I think your labels look great. Great feedback on getting them centered on the label sheet. I want to try this myself, but I have an HP inkjet printer.
Trust me! I did a ton of fiddling, and no matter what, I could never get every label printed in the center. On each page, some on one part of the page would be centered, and others would not. Or I'd get it where I was pretty happy with most of the centering on one page, then the very next page with the same settings would be a little off. It was a laborious process and I would not do it again to save a few pennies per label. I'll leave printing labels to the professionals.Yeah, to get the labels centered, you have to print out the page of what you want on the labels, and then put them on top of the labels and see how close they are to centered and do it several times until you got it right. Thanks for the shout out for Gear labels or Sticker Mule. It just seemed labor intensive to stick 500 chips with them. That is why I asked originally!
I like that.Casino de Moxie
