I got a Beurer MG280 a few days ago, it uses pockets of air instead of their usual rolling pressure point type of massage. I wouldn't say it gives good massages, but it does work surprisingly well to open up your spine. And no, that's not me in the picture. :p

@WedgeRock this is my first safety razor, been basically a Gillette cartridge muppet my whole life. Well, that ends now! :ROFLMAO:

I buy 10x10 blades on Amazon and I'm set for like two years. I'll never go back.

Of course, going forward, I won't buy from Amazon. Not when we have one of the best online safety razor vendors in the world as a member here... And he has a B&M store near me...

I have always contemplated going to a safety razor. I shave my head and usually shave in the shower, concerned my 5 minute shower might turn into 15 with one blade.

How well do they work?

I only use it to shave my face, three times in different directions to make sure I get everything without having to press hard (risking ingrown hairs) or go over a spot multiple times (risking irritation).

IMO, once I learned to shave with light pressure in multiple directions, it's been way closer shaves than anything before it. Probably not fair to compare to the mass-produced multi-blade, because the technique is different, but single blades shave great!

There was a guy that wrote a 9 page essay on how to properly shave. You should be able to find it on google, its interesting and talks about the proper way to shave with a safety razor in a J motion. He also talks about why it is difficult to get razor burns with a single razor. If / when I shave I do twice, different directions. I also have a straight razor, its a better (closer) shave, not by much but takes a significant amount longer.

If you have sensitive skin, building a soap lather can also help with razor burn.
