My son would love these!! What are they?

Very cool!
Depends how old your son is. They’re 1:18 models by Autoart (right) and MR Collection (left). Mine are 7 and 5 and they know it’s not for them to play with- only look at. The Maisto 1:18 ones Costco sells for $15 each are much better for play.

Those are awesome - thanks!! I’m going to look those up!!!

He’s 10 and is good with stuff like that. He helped me build this a couple months ago.

We’ve made a few upgrades since then as well - lol. It’s pretty dang quick with the cheap stock motor. He’s got a Traxxas one and we race each other - lol.

Lots of fun.

Edit: added a pic with the additional steering and suspension mods and 2nd body we painted for street banging.

It’s been 18 years since I last had a vehicle that I had to shift gears in and I sure have missed it.
Just took delivery of a REAL BEAST! If you enjoy driving as much as I do, not much compares to sitting behind the wheel of this monster.
Like my beloved chips, this baby is a KEEPER!

This little addition to my imaging arsenal. Basically, a really nice 550mm telephoto lens. The red box is a motor for fine focus. The barrel of chips is for scale.

I dumped the entirety of my primary imaging rig off the pier it normally sits on and onto the ground just after Christmas. It was a slow process getting the various parts looked at, inspected and a couple small repairs made with some final adjustments still to happen. I had started to squirrel away some money to go to replacing pieces that I thought were wrecked. When it was apparent that was no longer necessary and this had become available on consignment at my neighborhood astronomy shop in the meantime, I couldn't skip on the chance.

I had looked at one of these in the past as the conditions at my observing site have been less than ideal for my usual rig especially during the winter. The smaller scope is more resistant to the wind and the wider field and coarser image scale plays better in poorer but otherwise clear conditions. The good deal on this lightly used scope was hard to pass up. I can use the camera(s) I already have with it and the tracking mount is designed to easily interchange scopes, so it's an easy expansion to the array.

Thanks Mel. I thought about a Rubicon but knowing how I like to drive them, it’s better that I continue to rent them when the urge hits. :ROFLMAO:
One of my biggest regrets was selling my 97 Cobra back in 04, missed the hell out of that car when it was gone.
Won’t be making that mistake again with this one. ;)

I grew up playing Airsoft with my buddies down by the river behind the park near my house, probably 6th-8th grade. We didn’t have jobs so we just had cheap spring pistols and shotguns but had a blast running around in the scrub brush. After high school all my cheap guns stayed with my mom and little brother and I didn’t really think about Airsoft. Someone I stumbled down a YouTube rabbit hole a few weeks ago and realized that I can actually now afford good guns and equipment. Got my first AEG, or Airsoft electric gun in the mail today. It’s a “budget model” but can still put out around 24 BBS a second at 370 FPS. I’ve got plenty of real guns, but it’s nice to go shoot 1000 rounds for $10 haha.

Magazines, goggles, speedloaders, batteries, and a whole bunch of other gear are inbound. Anyone else on here play Airsoft?
