Post mockups for fun/science? (16 Viewers)

25¢, $1, $5, $20. Now all I need is an inlay design, and about $2000! :D

Thanks, glad you like them! Is there anything you would change? Does the spot progression make sense?
I’m still looking forward to seeing your finished relabel project!
The only thing I would change (and it's really minor) is rotate the single spot on the 1 to 10:30.

I normally don't prefer repeating colors in edgespots, but that whole design just works so well together!

As for my Cal-Neva relabel, I gave up on it. We hardly ever play tournaments, so I bought some cheap sluggers so I could run two tables, and am saving the rest of the money in my paypal for poker or something else fun. :)

Let me see if I get this right, you mean like this?

Thanks! My thought process behind it was to incorporate each preceding chip's colors to the next one as the value goes up.

I really liked that Acres inlay design, maybe you can repurpose it for your custom set.

Hoping to save up enough for a custom set for our home games. I'm thinking of going simple with the cheapest mold and inlay options available at CPC for us budget-conscious chippers. Let me know what you guys think about this first draft.

Why not do California colours for your next set?

Blue 1, Yellow 5, Purple 25, White 100?

Now that I have my Custom Design being made for my first project I am now thinking about my next Custom Project. I am leaning towards doing an Atlantic City Tribute cash set for some closed casinos. Below is a Mockup of the Chips I did on the CPC site. I would have to get custom labels done for them outside of CPC. I also still would need to see which mold I would go with and work on some of the base colors and edge spots.

Actual Chips the mockups are based on. I borrowed the pictures from all-chips.com.

a set i am considering for a silver hotstamped tournament set, as opposed to buying Atlantic Club solids. top text would say "Good 'Nuf" bottom text would say "Massachusetts" with denoms 25-100-500-1000-5000. thoughts?

Abandoned project (top 2) & current one (bottom).

I had asked the artist (Ray Troll) if I could use his artwork (I used to live next to his studio and just love his work), and he was gracious enough to engage me on it. In the end, I realized the fine details in his art would be lost (we never finalized the deal as I dropped the chip), as awesome as it looks when magnified. (And yes, the burple was designed to be super subtle.)

I also realized the $1 didn’t need to start at a level 5 for a friendly 1/2 cash game....

I fell in love the the $100 concept and am working that into my new approach (bottom). The 5 is giving me the most trouble and I’ll likely start a new thread when I’m closer, but am open to any quick thoughts.

BTW- this site has been super helpful. Thanks all! I’ve been thinking about a custom set for 25 years and am finally doing it now that we have a regular game.

Surely at some point people will look closely at the chips and appreciate the inlay design, sure the details are lost ac ross the table, but who cares, youbwould still make out the tophat wearing skull, no?

You could always simplify it a bit as well.

These would have to be hot stamped to be completely awesome-ized. :)

Keep coming back to this. Let me know which you prefer, or if there's a combo I haven't thought of. If you like the green frac, are there any other colors you'd use for the $20/$25 chip?

Thought process behind Options 2 + 3: I love the $25 chip and it wouldn't see much play unless I re-purpose it as a frac.

Denoms are 25c, $1, $5, $20/$25, $100

If you go with the green quarter, I'd recommend moving the other chip colors up for the $20 and $100:

Or vice versa

Playing around with a simple hotstamp idea:

I wanted to get away from yellow for the 2000 so that there’s less of a chance it’ll be confused for a 1K.

These would, in fact, be on elephant mold, and would employ cpc’s stock number hotstamps. Certainly the set would be nothing fancy, but that’s my intent.
