Public Tina Hybrid mold (4 Viewers)

I love the idea of a Sideshow Bob mold!

Maple Leaf clusters might look nice. I mean I like how the Conn Smythe trophy looks in hockey. Sorry if the spelling is wrong.

I think I should keep the poll to 4 maybe 5 choices.
Hybrid molds -
Arodie
Horseshoe
Web
T
PCF
Palm
Castle and Spear
Star MD-57
X
Cards

Going to put a Poll up Saturday or Sunday.
The bold ones are the ones I am preferring.

All of these are out of production, but the Roman mold was recently produced by CPC & they may not want it reproduced. I have no idea, but as a curtesy to David & CPC I think a conversation would be in order before having anything made.

I'm sure someone still has some of these other molds, but clearly they are not being made by anyone so it's hard to imagine much pushback on any of the others.

I thought the mold was dead and no one could make any EVER. That what I always hear.

Here's the latest on the Roman mold- retired and donated.
It no longer exists. Was donated to a museum. You can't make anything operational once every cup in the mold has actually worn through!

Couldn't hurt to ask though.

The cups and hob to make the Roman for clay chips is dead. The I.P. on the mold itself isn't. That's why it'd be worth asking David.
He may not care at all or maybe he would.

All the talk of this stuff is just speculation. No one really knows for sure until they go down this road and someone sues to protect their property/investment etc.

I'm not saying there would be trouble and I'm not saying there wouldn't be, but it is true that CPC is the only one out there still making a true compression molded chip and he is a vendor here. Just asking before having something made would be the courteous thing to do.

Message sent.
Going to focus more on the Web Mold I think.

If there's a web mold group buy, I'm gonna have to hurry up up decide on my set design :p

What is the approximate lead time on a new mold being ready to take orders?

If we don’t do Arodie we’re idiots.
Something we can agree on
Even if it gets picked, i think it’ll depend on how well it can be implemented, if the mold can be executed in ceramic material well and if dye sublimation printing can get into the nooks and crannies of the mold.

Based on how well the Greek mold looks with the printing, I feel like the web mold, which seems even shallower, should not have any unexpected results. Not sure about star or palm or anything else.

Yup. That’s what I think people aren’t acknowledging with their choices. There are a lot of printing inconsistencies with the scrown and other large shape molds. The Greek mold is solid.
