Thank you! I actually get my radioactive iodine pill this Thursday so then it'll supposedly take 2 months for the thyroid to shut down. At least I'll be on the path to getting things fixed!

Little update. I was supposed to get my radioactive pill today but I've had an upset stomach and haven't been able to keep even water down for the last 24 hours so I'm stuck in bed. They are hoping I will be "better" by Tuesday so they can give me the pill then.

I had a brief chat with Dan today and thought I would let everyone know to keep sending prayer's - good thoughts.
Dan said things took a turn for the worse today and he ended up going to the ER. He will be there tonight and possibly tomorrow as well. They are trying to stabilize him enough so he can take the radioactive pill and keep it down so it starts to shut down his thyroid.
He wanted everyone to know that he will update the thread when he gets back home either tomorrow or Sunday. He expressed his thanks to everyone for the prayers and said he was off to sleep to try and get some rest.
Not sure of everyone's faith but be sure and keep him in your prayers, send him good health karma or just think positive for him. All will help.

I connected with Dan's mom and plan to visit at the hospital tonight if he is up for it. Will pass on an update after.
