Let see some pics of chips that you regret selling. I have quite a few.

The set I most regret selling, Suicide King TR King. I don't regret spending the money, but I would gladly buy them back for the sale price.

#2 on the list is the BCC MGK Suicide King cash set.

I am working on a CPC set that will use similar art.

I remember all of those sets from back in the day. I have the regret that I never even bought TR King when I had the chance. I mentioned elsewhere that the price I was looking at for a set of 1000 was $1.80 chip. Can you imagine? I think that’s the going price for a broken chip that’s been run over by a car 20 times and left out in the rain.

I have a set of BCC So I’m glad I held onto that.

Obviously the set I miss the most that I think prompted to discussion is the hot stamped Paulson said I bought around 1999. Sold it to finance custom ASMs. At the time there was no way I could do both but I’ve regretted selling those Paulson’s ever since.

Oof.

I would sure be kicking myself too! Beautiful sets! There isn't much in my collection I wouldn't trade for a playable set of either Suicide King set.

I though I regretted selling/trading about 10 racks of spotted flamingos and then I remembered what I purchased after or traded for.

"Make a rule in life never to regret anything. Regret is an appalling waste of energy: You cannot build on it: It is only good for wallowing in." - Katherine Mansfield.

These threads are my reminder to never sell!
I can agree on some level.

Really, in retrospect, I don’t wallow in regret, as I read here. I used the term regret quite lightly.

I don’t lose sleep over chips I’ve sold. They are just chips, let’s face it. I love them, but they don’t make up my character or influence my relationships. The chipping decisions don’t affect my well being or my family.

As well, I can’t agree with the saying, “you can’t build on regret” because I think you can. You learn what not to do when you regret something. How to do it differently or better if given another opportunity. Regret is only as heavy as one allows it to be, mentally. So that saying is out the window for me. Not sure which post I saw that had a quote. Regret can be channeled into glorious resolve, if mental fortitude can be added in. No need to “wallow” in regret over clay discs.

i've posted it here multiple times before, but my biggest regret by far is selling my TRK semi-custom king's crown hotstamps. this is sadly the only picture i have of them. i really wish i knew where they ended up; i sold them locally originally.

I’m not sure if it was some of the chips in your picture or not but I did get to play with a set of KC hot stamps in Michigan a few years back.
I thought they may have been acquired through @Frank or @liftapint at that time but I’m not completely sure.
Beautiful chips non the less @raynmanas. I think I’d almost be living out of the back of my car before I could let either of my TRK sets go.
Can definitely understand how you must feel.

@liftapint said she was gonna find me a set. Can't wait.

@Saoliver can confirm. She might not remember tho.

I have a lot of regrets. But if I had to rank them:

1) rack of Nevada Lodge $25 (thought he was a friend, I was wrong, so incredibly wrong)
2) Silver star cash set
2b) Nevada Lodge roulettes :(
3) Suicide King tournament
4) Kings Castle cash set
5) Kings Crown cash set (see above)
6) Condado Beach tournament (same “friend”, not-a-friend)
7) Ritz tournament set
8) ESPT 2- table set (so pretty!)

So many more, but those are the most painful that come to mind.
