First full set I ever had and what hooked me into this hobby

I though I regretted selling/trading about 10 racks of spotted flamingos and then I remembered what I purchased after or traded for.

"Make a rule in life never to regret anything. Regret is an appalling waste of energy: You cannot build on it: It is only good for wallowing in." - Katherine Mansfield.
no more sanctuary ?

Let see some pics of chips that you regret selling. I have quite a few.

The set I most regret selling, Suicide King TR King. I don't regret spending the money, but I would gladly buy them back for the sale price.

#2 on the list is the BCC MGK Suicide King cash set.

I am working on a CPC set that will use similar art.

selling chips is good

specifically, selling chips to me is good

I regret selling/trading some of my suits molds TH&C hotstamps and Avalons. At the time I was looking to assemble a strictly PCR set. I did not realize that the v2 versions of these were so hard to come by, and so they would be nearly impossible to replace.

I still have a big playable cash set (about 1,100 suits molds, mainly but not exclusively PCRs). But I should have held onto the colors I had fewer of, such as the v2 green TH&Cs.

One rack of Nevada Lodge $20’s
One rack of Nevada Lodge $25’s (Your welcome Mel ;) )
One rack Of Nevada Lodge 500’s
One rack of Nevada Lodge 1000’s

I’m fortunate enough to still have a playable set thought…

I had some of those too. The Avalon's and PCR were the last home Paulsons made.

i've posted it here multiple times before, but my biggest regret by far is selling my TRK semi-custom king's crown hotstamps. this is sadly the only picture i have of them. i really wish i knew where they ended up; i sold them locally originally.

I remember those. The Lavender look like the ones from the inlaid GB.

I ended up getting a solid set made from chips left over when TR King closed. This colors for this set were chosen by asking Dennis what's left? Had to send them to BCC for stamping.

Feeling your pain with this post David. :wow: Still having a playable set is a very very short list to be on but definitely a most positive position to be in.;)

All I can say is that after reading many of the long time members posts in this thread, my biggest regret is not finding my way into this great hobby about 10 years earlier.

When I see and read about some of the chips you all have let go of, it literally makes me gasp. :wow: I feel so fortunate to have been able to put together the sets I currently have, a couple of them weren’t cheap or easy to acquire by any stretch of the imagination. I owe a debt of gratitude to many of you for the opportunity.;)
