I had seen this in another post, I think it’s great, any hints on where you picked it up?
If you want to fly to New Zealand, I can show you exactly where I got it from :cool

Picked it up from a weekend market stall from a little old lady who makes all sorts of trinkets and doodads from plasticene.

Those hand / home made ones are often the best!

I use one when I'm dealing so the mucked cards do not get mixed with my hole cards.
I often use the dealer button, or the PCF 10th anniversary coin

Side A and Side B. Sometimes I throw it to an opponent when they go in the tank. Which side up when I throw it depends on the situation.

I use the chip in my avatar - the 43mm Dunes Baccarat $20 as a card protector - naked, no air-tight. But I only use a card [protector if I'm in the 1 or the 10 seat, otherwise my chip stays in my pocket.
I played a tournament at Foxwoods a month ago and was saddened to see the 25's were the exact same color as my Dunes chip. Even though I was stuck in the 1 seat, I kept my chip in my pocket and just used a 25 chip. No need to cause confusion.
Since responding to this 7 years ago, I’ve changed my methods, but I think I might need to change back.
I’ve been on an anti-trinket rant for a while, and I won’t bring anything with me to use as a card protector - why bother, when you have a pile of chips in front of you? So I just use the actual chips in play to protect my cards.
But this past weekend, I played a tournament and found myself in the 9 seat with a shitty dealer. It was at that point in the tournament when it was all-in or fold. And everytime I went all in, without any chips behind to use as a card protector, I felt naked. I ended up using my reading glasses to protect my cards, because that was the only thing in front of me. It worked out fine. But I might start bringing a trinket with me again, so I don’t look like a whacko.
