Playing Potowatamie. My buddy and I both get bad beats. He hits the BB jackpot for $13k. Room share is $350.

My bad beat is that I went to the food court across the hall for 5 minutes for a very short bite to eat. Gone 5 minutes when he texts me that it hit. So my brat meal was $350... gross.

Funny you have a bad beat story, this didn't happen to me but the table next to me that I happened to move from earlier in the day. On Friday last week I was playing and heard screaming, literally. The table behind me had hit the ~75k bad beat. The whole room got up and to see, straight flush vs quads, 88 vs 10h7h. Unfortunately for me there was no room share. Really unfortunately for one woman who had taken a smoke break that was at the bad beat table. She had a missed blind button and was ineligible for the ~4k table share. Talk about an expensive cigarette. Some of the players did give her some money, about $500 total, I hope she learned her lesson and quits smoking.

Paul and I are decent friends, have gone to Vegas several times together, but we do our best to take each other’s money at every opportunity... . And though Paul didn’t offer me $350 in cash as a consolation prize, he did offer to pay for ALL food and beverages in our upcoming Vegas trip (in one week). I thought that was pretty awesome of him! And damn if ain’t gonna try to eat and drink $350 worth...

Players Casino in Ventura. Some really awful games there so I rarely play. This is a $1-2 blue chip game $50-100 max buy-in with an automatic $6 drop if it goes to the flop Watched a guy limp the button and refuse to chop 3 ways (allowed), then bet $5 on the flop, to win...$0. Watched another guy who was waiting for chips win a pot, and he ended up owing a dollar when he eventually got his rack.

Came into the day 12th of 52(maybe 54 I don't recall exactly) 32 got paid.

Started off good winning about 30k with QQ.

Lost about half my stack JJ < AK off AIPF, I got 4 flushed which always feels worse to me than when he hits the A or K.
Lost 30 k 3betting + Cbet with AK.
Saw and early position raise to 12k(4k BB) shoved my last 67k in with AQs, got called by the original raiser with AJo and didn't win that one. Out around 39th. Frustrating day.
