In for $65 at SpaceMonkey's last Friday. Great time and we got him hooked in local MA hoppy beers from Trillium and Treehouse.

Love the Bahamias.

I'll blame my performance on the felt due to my first experience with all the Trillium and Treehouse sampling.

Went Vegas and stayed at the Flamingo for a continuing ed seminar. Went downstairs the first day while the wife was showering and getting ready for dinner and started playing some 2-4 limit and ended up harvesting some spotted $1's for my collection and grabbed 12 out of my $100 buy in and ended up just playing limit the rest of the time I had a chance just to grab more chips. Ended up with 37 this trip.

Played the $60 buy in at Harrah one afternoon. After about an hour and a half went all on KK in on the button after three limped it around to me and get one caller, pocket 9's. woohoo. Flop nothing notable, turn 9, damn it. River no help. Poker sorry. That was Friday afternoon and they could only get 15 players FWIW.

I played there a few months ago (October?) and I didn't see a single spotted $1. I was playing 1/2 NL so that denomination wasn't prevalent anyway, but I thought they got rid of them all.

I picked up or should I say my wife picked up over a barrel of spotted birds earlier this month. Not many spotted at all but she asked and had several employees seeking them out. I was able to finish a rack and have a few extra.

I had a chance to play four sessions and bought for a $100 each time and ended up with 37 total at the end. Granted some of those scooped in some pots:D. I would say they are less than seven or eight per rack. I also noticed a few on the BJ tables too. But there aren't very many left.....its a damn shame too. Also with a "single" spot placement if they are rotated down in the rack they look like a solid.

New Hampshire card rooms have to close by 1am unfortunately so the only option after close is to head to an underground 1/2 game. Super buzz kill going from a lively PLO8 game to an all-regular taggish nlhe group, but a degen gotta do what a degen gotta do. Since I last went I noticed they now went custom. They said "the stickers cost a fortune" and all I'm thinking about is how fast their heads would spin with some of the pricier spot patterns for custom clays. The name of the place is named after the road its on.

Back to the Borg for PLO. $2/5 tonight. Not shown: my losing $5/5 session between this and my last post. I mean, I can post a shot of plain green felt, but that's pretty depressing.

None of that was any great skill on my part.

One big hand I had 5678ss and the flop came 234dd. I flatted the flop, saw a safe offsuit ace on the turn and then got it in three ways. We ran it twice and it came an offsuit 10 both times. Scooper.

Next I flatted pre with AA77ddhh (I'd not been doing much 3-betting, so my hand would be completely open if I had here). Flop A95dd. I pot for $50, one caller. One of the better players at the table (certainly better than me). Turn 9. I check he checks. River K. I pot for $150, he raises to $450, I raise to $1150, he tank calls with A9xx and says "I think I remember this hand from a movie."

They are some nice looking chips.

These are from a local casino I've just joined. They do daily tournaments so will start up my game again here I think. Crowd is a bit rowdy, but was a good crack. This is early on before I got the crazy eyes and lost my game.

Some might notice my card guard.

I've never been a Bud Jones guy but all the pics that butler sends makes them look oh so tasty. Borgata chips look great!

Apart from a few people saying they look "nice", I've never heard anyone at Borgata say anything positive about them. I think most people really dislike the way they handle. Which I understand.

As to the looks of Bud Jones, one of the funniest poker table stories I've ever heard was about a guy saying he liked them better because they stayed clean and how you could tell by looking at them there was no grime on them, etc. So another guy sticks a stack of yellow $5 chips (this was at the Bike in LA) in the middle of the table and tells the guy if he's so sure they're clean, he can keep as many as he's willing to put in his mouth. The guy snap-grabs an indiscriminate amount, jams them into his mouth, swishes them around a bit, and spits them directly into his stack and says, "Thank you!" while a girl at the other end of the table is dry heaving watching the whole thing.

Did he die from Ebola at the table or was it later? Seriously I think licking the inside of a public toilet bowl may be a better bet.

So gross. The casino might be one of the only places where I find it more important to wash my hands *before* hitting the head....

Nice. I remember an old 2+2 Rounders PLO satire. Most of it was pot pot pot pot pot. . .

Grinding Mohegan with Clay and Berg. Lost two post at $2/4 LHE and brought the rest of my chips when called for $1/2. Hopefully there will be more next time I post or at least a good story about losing it all.
