Local VFW tourney. Terrible structure, terrible chips, good people, better cash game afterwards.

I just went to the newly branded “Bally’s” casino which used to be Golden Gates/Mardi Gras and let’s just say the chips were um, what’s the word…….? Oh yeah horrible…..:tdown:
Who designed this atrocity….?!?!?

Does Coca-Cola sponsor them?

I used to like the yellow fox chips in that game.

the last of duces were more of a yellow before they were a sponsored wpt room. Don’t know why they changed when they came in but they never changed them back after the wpt left. They feel great and and shuffle well. They need a bath bad tho. Plenty of hooker juice and stick together something fierce. While still being in pretty good shape, crosshatching still on many of them.

If they weren’t such a drab color scheme would be perfect for a “just broken in” relabel project.

Mirrored glasses guy leaked his first stack till he jammed with $15 or so, rebought for the $40 minimum, then got it all in the flop against 3 players with hearts draws, which hit on the turn. He took off all his accessories, and bitched his way out of the poker room.

Started with $260, lost a bit down to $220. I put on a button straddle, making a joke that the couple guys who straddled were catching cards. Had a few limpets, raised to $15 with 65o, and ran a 3-barrel on AK272. He folded to my $120 river jam. Up $45.

I was there on Saturday, and that was my first reaction. I hate the new chips

I went downtown last night to grind out a lil $1/2 since the wife and kids are outta town for the weekend. In for $300 and out for 800+

I had the luxury of sitting next to a real life “I’ve only played online” 22 yr old dude who had more tells and live reads than anyone I’ve ever seen. We were pushing him off of pots all over the place. It was like the old days at Greektown. He didn’t leave with chips but said he “had fun.”

I was playing 1/2 once and a dealer joined the table sitting directly to the left of me. She proceeded to hold her cards arm length out and completely up. Everyone on the side of the table could see her hand directly.

Someone mentioned it, and she didn't change her process. It was the easiest 30 minutes to bust a player I've ever had. Three of us just kept on playing our better hands. It was crazy.

PLO is easy. Just flop a set of aces and the nut flush draw in a multi way raised pot and then fill up on the turn. Pot was like 1500 at that point and I was in position so I sneakily checked it back. Guy open ripped the river for 1k. Thank you sir.

Yeah I don’t look at peoples cards but if I can see em out of my peripheral and they have been tipped off they are flashing then it’s fair game in my eyes
