Final night at the bavaro casino... :(

Notable hand #1:

I feel like I gamboled with pocket 3's, knowing full well I needed to set mine (I hate gambling). If I hit, I'm thinking the implied odds of felting these fools is pretty high. Stacks are going into the middle with unbelievable frequency (with very weak holdings).

I'm on the button with around $300, and the entire table limps for $5, I limp. Gets back to the BB, and he bumps it to $10, lol, limp-calls around to me, and I come along.. Around $90 in the pot, and now the SB raises $25 on top. Folds to a guy in LP and he tank/calls. $140 in the pot, and I have to call $25 to see a flop in position. I think straight ole odds might make this a fold (my weak Maff skills guesstimate a set comes 1:7 times, and I'm getting 6:1 to call... but knowing the implied odds makes this a juicy proposition... (them fools are getting each of their $150-200 stacks in the middle. If I hit my 1:7 set, I've got a potential pot that includes +$300 remaining in their stacks). I make the call.

Flop is GIN, 399. It's not unbeatable, but I like my hand. The SB shoves his remaining $150, and the guy in LP shoves for $175. I snap call, obv. SB rolls over AK, and the LP dude rolls over 89o (huh?). My hand holds, I scoop!

Notable hand #2:

AQcc vs K3cc. Flop comes Ad and two clubs. I'm oop, and check to the K3, who was the preflop agressor. He bets each street, and I call him down. River is a club, giving me the nuts, and K3 the second nuts, I lead out for like $45, and the guy jams with a speech "I hope you have a good ace", I chuck two green chips in the middle and say something like "yup, but not the Ace you were hoping for" or something like that.

These two hands were amidst a crazy last night of my wife drinking and partying with her friends. I had to leave the table 2x to go back to the room (apparently she had an awesome time, we will leave it at that). I book a total trip win just shy of $800. Not too shabby for playing an hour or two each night after the kids went to bed.

As I type this, full disclaimer, I've had 3 hours of sleep. Tired. We travel back today, and I'll attach an appropriate chip stack pic to this post later. Bye bye bavaro casino. You will be missed.

Long day of poker at the Tulalip Casio today. Played in the Last Sunday of the Month (LSOM) tournament. 165 entries and I took 8th
Made to final table in about 7th. Took the chip lead with 9, we were at 8 forever with my string of bad cards. Ended up losing to a bigger straight.

We play with a progressive piggy so if you have two cards to make a straight flush you scoop it -

In this case A10 OS loses to 2/5 for heaps - crazy hand

From big blue, a couple of years ago. Over a 1,000,000 stack in a casino is always nice -- down to two of us in the AtLarge main event at the Taj in AC.

I'd love to have these chips when the Taj is gone. Wonder what the NJ gaming regs say about tournament chips???

In for $200 (he bought in for so much everyone broke out their cash) out for $570! Always a good night when you can bust out the $20 Dunes!
