Show Us Your Live Stacks (56 Viewers)

Just got back from Ho Chunk (last minute outing with highlander3). Starting and near ending stacks. Nothing to be super (buying a new car) crazy proud of, but a win is a win. In for $220, out for $670. :). I'll take it.

Buddy wanted to be a baller and bought in to our $0.50-$1.00 game for $250.... quickly became $1-$2. I stacked him and just about everyone else tonight haha. THE RUN GOOD CONTINUES!!! In for $200 (he bought in for so much everyone broke out their cash) out for $570! Always a good night when you can bust out the $20 Dunes!

In for $1700 at 25/50c mixed pot limit games. Out for $2120.

I find the thought of $250 being a baller buy in at .50/1, and the thoughts of playing such short stacks at 1/2 to be so foreign now that I'm so accustom to playing super deep with the NE crowd.

In Atlantic City for work so decided to play a 2.5 hour session at Borgata. Have been running so bad lately and a few times recently I've played dumb. Haven't booked a winning session in months. Took it way back to basics and played 2/4 limit.

Up the whole time...dropped a bit towards the end on some beats then came back up after some big (for limit) pots. In for $100 our for $105. It's minimal but hey it's a winning session.

Thinking about sticking with Limit Holdem for awhile just to get back into feeling good sitting at a table and not being in my head

These B&G chips are quite cool. In Manila now. In for 5000 out 22000

Casino kinda frowns on people taking pics so I only took these.

If anybody wants a sample chip I can try and grab one.

How were those $100 chips? I just bought a set of that style chip and I m very curious how they are.

Nothing brings me more joy than someone happy to post a $5 profit.

Any time you finish even, you've had a good session. If you need to be up $500, you're going to work.

Considering how I've been running the last few months... $5 profit is more than enough for me to be happy about the session. I finally was able to win hands both for real and with bluffs and never really felt card dead. That hasn't happened since about...November

I liked the look and the feel was very good quality wise - much more than ceramic chips that I've handled. Stacked very well and They shuffled really well but on some of the slightly dirty chips they had a tendency to stick when I was counting out bets. Overall if I could get my hands on a set I definitely would. And the oversized chips were awesome.

These look like the same manufacturer made the chips.

I feel like these photos of people quadrupling up in 2 hours should be combined with some stories about bringing $1K in and busting in two hours. Like, we should balance the stories about wins with remembering the losses.

I'm interested to know people's win-rates over time. I like the thread, just want a fuller picture of people's poker experiences!

I don't know how alot of guys have these sessions where they go from 200 to 1400 in 3 hours. I want in on those games. Most I've ever done is just under $100 profit in about 2 hours of play

There are a few key factors for it to happen:
1. You need to have enough money on the table that if you end up in a train wreck hand or two that you can win a $1,000+ pot

2. A few other players at the table need to also have a lot of money on the table.

3. People willing to gamble it up with those big stack.

4. A loose enough table image that someone will pay you off with lesser holdings than normal for a huge pot.

5. Plenty of re-buy money!!!

And if you find ones of these games fasten your seat belt and hold on tight! (And invite me!)

True on all of those. I've never gone beyond 1/2 NL so you don't really see swings like that at such low stakes. I'll never have the bankroll to see those tables where guys can jump up 1400 in a few hands

It happens at $1/2 as well in the right setting. I mostly play $1/2, $1/3 $300 to $500 max buyin games and have had many $1,000+ nights. Of course most of those games play more like $2/5 than $1/2.

Many home games that have limited hours and guys that are jonesing to play creates a crazy game!

Ive seen swings of almost $10k in a single 1/2 session, and over $5k in a .25/.50 session. These were not my swings, but I was in the game.

I've gone +/- $1500 in a .25/.50 game and +/- $2k at 1/2. And I'm a nit compared to the regs I play with.

Yeah, but all those dudes are nuts. I don't mean they HAVE the nuts. I've played with some, and they're crazy...

Side note - Whenever the discussion about poker nicknames comes up, I invariably tell the story of yours...

I remember playing with you at krafty's, and you fit right in with the guys who were nuts. You had no fear and moved a lot of chips around.

As nuts as some of the PCFers are that I play with regularly, some of these huge swings have been in public card rooms. I watched a total fish on a heater go +$8k in 2 hours at 1/2. And $2k of it was mine. Sometimes you just gotta buckle in and ride.
