Going out on a limb and after getting my shuffle tech which I can’t say enough good things about and buying the mounting bracket and an end table to mount it in I’ll post pictures when the project is complete but here are the materials

I am curious - why would you mount it to a cart/end table?

I don't think I've seen a card shuffler mounted to something other than within the table parameters themselves.
I'd imagine it could be inefficient for the dealer to swivel towards/away from the table to the end table.

I keep mine in a drink cart directly next to me. It keeps the noise off the table and it prevents from cutting a hole in your table! Also makes it semi travel friendly lol.

Interesting and I stand corrected!
. And I didn't think about the noise level. The casino ones are always so silent - are the home versions so much louder?

Yeah these work pretty differently. You can basically hear the sound of cards clanking up against plastic as the shuffler shuffles. It's not overbearingly loud but it definitely stick out a little. In a dead quiet room I can see it being a problem, but with table chatter it's fine.

I much prefer them mounted off-table -- generally can be better insulated for quieter operation, can be placed at any player position (often the dealer isn't the person actually using the shuffler in home games), and doesn't take up valuable playing surface real estate. Much better solution for non-oval tables, too (which typically have less available dead space).

Casino use is different -- only the dealer needs access, and commercial units are much quieter (and a LOT more expensive).

I doubt that the Shuffle Master DeckMates are really that quiet... they're just competing in a relatively loud poker room environment with other noise/conversation/chip-shuffleing/HVAC equipment/etc. going on. So much so that they're likely not going to be a dominant/noticeable noise source. Home games are a different story from an acoustic standpoint.

Remember, casino noise/sounds are heavily engineered to keep you gambling. No one wants to hang out in a quiet/peaceful casino.

Pretty awesome. Curious to see what it will sound like.
It’s pretty quiet right now, just going to gorilla glue the foam in and should be set to go, I would have no problem just leaving it, we always have a football or hockey game on with music playing anyway, wouldn’t even notice the sound of the shuffler

I cut some foam from an Apache and put it in the card tray to dampen the sound. Tried to put some in the upper cavity but that causes the shuffler to react on initialization.

Yeah mine is in a drink cart and between table chatter and TV its not that bad. I might look into using some kind or enclosed structure.

Is there a point to the drawer where the shuffler is?
No not really it’s just for looks, I left the bottom and back end of the drawer off so the shuffler would fit, just wanted to find something cheap that I could modify but still use for storage for chips

Are these Shuffle Techs any good now? Every site I find selling them is LOADED with bad reviews of machine jamming a lot and customer service being garbage at best.

I'm pretty sure the customer service is trash, though I have never had to use them. I have not had a single fatal jam (meaning a jam that the machine did not self sort within a few seconds) and aside from a couple of manual restarts, I've gotten at least 40 games of great experience from it, and hopefully many more to come. I clean the rollers and inner trays once every couple weeks.

A hinged foam lid on top of the shuffler will also help further dampen the sound. It's a an extra step to gain access, but may be worth it in some environments.
