Thought this might be of some interest to some so I thought I'd post it for members or anyone in the market for these.
I know they won a lawsuit against ShuffleMaster last year. I asked them if they have any new models coming out any time soon. Here's their response.
"We have several new models that are going to be developed, with new releases between August 2019 and late 2020, but the model that is most similar and will replace the ST-1000 will not be release until late 2020. The models that will be released this year are multi-deck shufflers that are not fully automatic."
So it looks like Multi Deck Shuffler will come out Late 2019
New Single Deck Late 2020

I'll prob buy the current ST1000 now instead of waiting. Any comments on this device?

Thanks,
John

Don't buy a shuffler. Those who do frequently end up regreting it.

I have a friend that has one and he cleans and maintains it before each game and has little malfunctions. I was thinking of buying one to speed up our games. I know I hear more negative comments.
I only host once a month, so in the long run it's prob costing me $20-30 per game to use for the next 2 years. The more I have it the more the per use price will go down.

Have you had a bad experience with them? Thanks

Talk about "forward-looking statements."

Almost like..I'd gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. lol

So, I ended up ordering one of these a few weeks ago. It hasn't shipped yet. I dunno if I will regret it or not. I did get the 3 year warranty on it. Maybe if it blows up in 2020 they will give me a discount on the newer model... (Not bloody likely..lol).

I got a flush mount kit and planning to install it in a side cart table, and insulate around the unit best I can for noise reduction since that's another complaint I read about.

Who knows. Maybe it will go on eBay, maybe it will be amazing to have. Time will tell.

Glad to hear they are working on new models. It seems like there is just a huge hole in the market between cheap $10 Amazon shufflers and $15k+ casino grade ones.

Couldn’t have said it better. I always wondered why some entrepreneur hasn’t stepped in.

A $250 automatic shuffler that can be mounted into table that’s quiet, and that WORKS, with a good warantee, would be a win.

I’ve had one for a year or two now and use it at least monthly. ALL of my players say it is the absolute best thing I’ve brought into our game. It’s a bit noisy at first (need to build a little box for it) but you get used to it. Jams maybe once or twice in an eight hour session, easy to fix and move on. I wish I had bought one years ago.

Did this speed up your games?
What kind of box did you build it into? Txs

I've had mine for 8 years, built into the table. Used once or twice a month, 1 or 2 jams at most a night, depending on the cards. Imho it's been worth it's weight in gold.

Did you insulate yours?

I thought about it, but I don't think I ever got around to it. Mounting it in the table cut down on the noise a bit but its far from quiet. The guys have referred to it as the popcorn maker :)

I like mine. Just do regular maintenance (clean the wheels) and it works good. A little noisy but I’m used to it and with people talking the noise gets drowned out.

Yeah I think a more stiff card and poker size do better. Also probably a card with more texture than slick would do better. The bicycle prestige were good, Copags were good

I play in a game that uses one.
No issues.
Noise isn’t even a factor.. u get used to it and forget it’s happening.

Apart from the occasional jam, it’s a decent unit.

Besides mounting into a table, what kind of side cart are you mounting this into? I’ve seen older posts of guys mounting into ikea furniture but I think the type of furniture s discontinued.

I took some measurements, and i'm fairly confident that it fits into a little (real!) wood cabinet I bought on amazon. I ordered this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F272LWH

I screwed the top 3 drawer faces together so the first drawer is basically 3 deep. Planning on lining that entire interior top area with foam or something. Plenty of room for the thing to dangle down..and leaves me the 3 drawers on the bottom for chip storage. At 25 inches, its a very comfortable height to reach back from my chair at the table.

now if Shuffle Tech ever ships my unit..........I'll report back and let you all know if it works out.

I managed to snag the flush mount on E-bay for $60. I figured the savings on the flush mount and my cheap amazon cabinet saved me enough to get the extended warranty.

I cut the flush mount hole in this ikea cart, HERE.

I am pretty sure they still make it. I also made a more custom cart out of a kitchen cabinet and added heavy duty wheels to make it a cart.

Here are some pics of my current cart.
