I have stumbled on a Greek mythology-themed set that looks like it could be useful to me; potentially a nice alternative to BR Pro's Classic Roman (which I own) or Poker Chip Lounge's Spartan Warrior set (for which I have samples that I don't love, but also don't completely hate - they rate a solid meh, which isn't quite good enough to want to invest in a set). The problem is, the thing is on dhgate, which has a pretty bad rep, and is priced stupidly high at over $5/chip, without any obvious way to get a sample set. They can be seen here. My gut tells me that, were I to be able to make contact with whoever actually makes the things, I could perhaps at least get samples, and were I to like them, probably buy the chips for a more reasonable price. I'm hoping that someone here with more experience with Chinese ceramics could help me figure out where the things actually come from. I realize that I may be making a false assumption, based on having seen other designs on AliExpress being sold by enough different vendors that it is clear that they are all merely reselling something they obtain elsewhere, or maybe are simply drop-shippers. Nevertheless, I would like at least to get a hold of a sample set, and hopefully not via dhgate, which is apparently pretty dodgy in general.

Here they are again, on a Vietnamese site. They are apparently branded Gameland. I've seen that name on chips being hawked on AliExpress. The photographic presentation is pretty similar to the no-name "Carved" chips that a variety of vendors there sell. This ought to ring a bell for someone to be able to say something concrete, and possibly even helpful, even though I'm sure it's more fun to just be snarky.

I would avoid these like the plague.

Tina allows for fully customizable chips on a Greek Key mold. They might not be amazingly excellent, but are good value for price.

There are some real clay chips out there with Greek Key mold (Dragonara, Malta) that could be milled and labeled, maybe even for a reasonable price.

You have probably already done more research on ceramic chips than 99.9% of the members here. Not sure we can offer an expert much in this field.
