@Ben8257 CDI starting stacks from Saturday!
Shhh!!! You are going to get me yelled at by all the professional tourney directors around here!!

For what it's worth we only had 8 players and my CDI set can easily cover 2 tables. I wanted to stick with our standard 400 BB structure of 20k starting stacks, but rather than 12/12/7/5/2 I wanted to put some higher denoms in play off the break to further cut down on making change from 5k chips! First time playing with the set, i choose to go with a 12/12/9/9/1! The game flowed very well in my opinion. Would also be a great break down for anyone running a true 500BB T25k tourney, just add one more T5k so it would be 12/12/9/9/2.

There are members that say this is wasteful and too many chips in play. Hey it's a family game, everyone had fun, and we had absolute minimal change making which was fantastic!!

That's so rookie.

Our tournament last weekend has starting stacks of:
T25 x16
T100 x12
T500 x5
T1000 x6

That's 39 glorious chips per person!

I look at it like this, if someone mentions a concern about the cost of chips, I will direct them toward a more economical breakdown. Nothing drives me more batty than people that make recommendations without considering the OP's stated needs/limitations.

But if you have the chips, they aren't any fun sitting in the case.

Damn just realized I didn't get @saleen121212 cut cards in my couple stupid pictures! I always allow others especially first timers to pick the dealer button and cut cards! We have over 100 different buttons and about 35 - 40 different sets of cut cards now. My buddy's father picked my original group buy Aces Casino button purchased from @brains613 who allowed me to pick one from his collection of Aces buttons for my birthday last year!

I let my buddy's girlfriend pick the cut cards, she immediately picked Cams Tartouga Island cards because she is obsessed with pirates like myself!! I think it's a cool way to try to bring others into our hobby by letting them feel included with what we use for the evening, also gives an opportunity to see and touch the endless options out there!!

Already have several family members thinking about buy sets and taking turns hosting!! If I get nothing else from this forum than bringing my separated family back together through poker, which was my main goal! Then the time I have left on this earth is too soon to say thank you to each and every one of you for your help and support with us new collectors and members of this amazing community!!

PS... @FordPickup92 did you happen to get any shots with the cut cards in them... or were you busy taking pictures of the delicious Irish car bombs??? Lmao ahh great night!!

39 chips? 44 chips?..... I feel so.... unsatisfied.

Our league championship game uses 20/20/15/10 as the baseline 20k starting stacks (65 chips) *before* the T1000 bonus chips based on points/wins/bounties/events are added to each stack.

For the chipleader to start with a full rack (55k) is not uncommon -- now THAT'S a starting stack.... er, five of them barrels. ;)

That damn cat!! Lol

My dream is one day to run this tourney, and yes I realize that's 5,000 BB start!!

Sorry for the rough draft... also there is a mistake there that the T5000s should be removed at the same time as the T1000s. I have worked and reworked the numbers on this since before joining PCF... probably written it out 20 different times, but I want each player to basically start with a full rack of chips. Based off of many threads of tourney structure from @BGinGA believe it our not I have actually cut the chip count down considerably! Haha chip count if everyone were to rebuy would be 4,358 chips and roughly 100 plaques!

Unfortunately I am not rich... we would be using 14g 2008 Casino Royales, with the MSK plaques that @Apache sells. Set has grown since this picture, obviously the biggest draw back are than many plaques... definitely have debated simply relabeling some lower denoms from the current Apache Casino Royale chips, but I want it to have that Bond Casino royale feel to the final Table!!

What's another $900 in plaques to make a likely a single time tourney set come to life... ahh that's what being a Srucb Donkey is all about!!

And yes those are T25s and T50s to the left if you wanted to make this a 10 plus hour tourney with 20,000 BB! Realistically we will probably start with 1000/2000 and keep it as a standard 500 BB (deep) starting stack but the options are there!!

I know, Teddy! I used to use seven T500s and five T1000s per player, but too many of my players count out their T500s in stacks of 2. So I had to cut back on the T500s. I will eventually be putting out a newsletter on how to count out your chips properly (and if there is space in the newsletter, how to stack them). Maybe then it will be back to 2 barrels per player.

Having a Tiki Tourney tomorrow! We used the Aurora Club hot stamp set last time. They were a hit! Got some nice 5k Tiki plaques that just came in and they are ready for some felt! T15k starting stack with bounties. Using some Faded Spade Jumbo Index 4c Poker size cards. I actually really like the feel and the shuffletech handles them well. They have some "heft" for lack of better word, and really glide well without flipping if you're dealing from far.

@sheikh617 what blind schedule do you use for your T15,000 starting stacks?
