Just wanted to give a little mini review. Somebody recently posted that these cards were rebranded Modiano Platinums. I chased down a deck, because I’ve still never handled the platinums and I was curious. I believe I still have not. Unless platinums are the same as Texas poker.
Because after handling both decks side by side, I’ll say with 99% certainty that the Tactic Pro Poker deck is exactly the same deck as Modiano Texas Poker.

Well on Dix old chart in one of the thread Texas Poker was 20 flex. On the up to date it's not listed unless it was changed to Tactic Pro, but it is listed as 17 flex. Not sure what happen. Not a big deal for me at the moment since I found cards I highly like now. Not sure why Dix didn't put Angel Club Poker on the chart, but reviewed it next to Aristo. Same as Aristo?

Yes, Aristo is the same Angel card but sold via Matsui
I'll have to check but feeling wise the platinum & texas poker are close (but one is PVC other is acetate).
I have all 3 decks in the house to check.

Tactic= Modiano Platinum. 100%.
Thanks Joe, I was kinda sure too but had to check to be 100%

I did get you that matching deck didn't I ?
Hope you are well buddy

Ps. based on the latest info...the platinum line is discontinued, glad I stocked up some

Not sure how to respond except to say again that that blue tactic deck and that orange Texas poker deck are almost certainly the same stock and finish.
I'll get my decks out later if I have time. I would be surprised by this. My recollection of the Tactic cards is that they felt stiffer than the Texas stock.

Modiano is known for fuck ups and frequent changes to the quality of stock they print they regular decks like Texas line. That is the reason why Abiatti dumped them as a partner and tured to Cartamundi...

Having said that Cristallos were very consistent in quality..

And Platinium line are one of the best cards I ever played with...

I e still never handled Modiano platinums, so I don’t know. But I’m wondering if those older desjgn modianos were on Mondriano platinum stock. And not even the last desjgn modianos - those were almost definitely on the same stock used for Texas poker. But the release before that was Modiano stock and even nicer. I wonder if that was the platinum stock.

Thank you for your comment, which deck of cards you consider to be at the quality level of the Modiano Platinum?
KEMs Casino Circle Back and Fournier 2828 if you look at the durability
At the same time they are very different in feel (stiffer) and also only made in poker size as far as I know

Thank you, maybe you wanted to say Fournier 2525 or 2826? I can't find Fournier 2828 not even in the official catalog

I think these are the best cards I've ever used. I haven't used all brands but most of the major ones and I like these the most, followed by Modiano. Waiting on the Faded Spade 3.0 to see how they fare against the two brands I mentioned.
I do agree that they one of the best decks in regard to durability and handling...
Unfortunately I don't like Fournier suits, especially clubs and diamonds (also not a fan of Copags in this regard) . That's why I love 2012 WSOP cards by Fournier.... Great stock with Kem grafics, only wish they were jumbo index.

I agree mostly. The suits don't bother me. I really like the 2012 cards as well, which is what turned me on to the brand and why I went ahead and got the bridge/jumbo you linked to. Fantastic cards.

They come in few nice back design suitable for different tastes.
My favorite is Rosas...
It's nice to have a choice...

By the way if shipping will be too expensive do not hesitate to contact shop. Owner is a great guy and despite the fact that his English is very basic he will try to find cheaper options...

Thanks, I have my decks already but that's good info for everyone else!
