Bronze and plastic, iirc. I had a sample set once. Heavy as crap, like 16.5g each.

Yup, defiantly bronze and plastic - I have the sample set and unfortunately they are replicas and not the real deal.

Yes, bronze and plastic. My first post-dice chip set, when they came out as WSOP 2005s -- and I still have it.

When the WSOP climbed all over them legally, they changed to the Tangiers design, after the movie.

Absolutely unshuffleable, awful to play with. If guys splash the pot, they might shred your cloth, if not break your table.

These have been up on CL for at least a year now... initially listed around $950 I think. I see them every single time I check the Baltimore poker page and keep wondering when the owner will realize that he's nowhere near a reasonable price. Although all you need is one sucker I suppose.

Heavy and, from what I heard, they don't stack real well.

They probably overpaid and are holding out to get as much back as they can.
