8/14/24 Update: I added two new deck reviews at the end of this thread. My overall conclusion from the sample of 7 different sets is that non of these decks were bad. They were all playable and the overall print quality was excellent. Prices ranged from around $2-$4/deck. Surprisingly they had many different textures, thicknesses and handling which is subjective. It was fun to see what around $30 would buy. If I were looking for value plastic cards, none of these were as good as LotFancy which do everything very well and can meet or exceed even the premium brands. (LotFancy for the win in the value segment!!)
I recently purchased $18 worth of Plastic Playing cards from TEMU (China). It only took them a week to arrive. My expectations were quite low since they averaged about $2.50/deck. I was pleasantly surprised given the price. I initially thought all these cards would be the same card stock and just different print. However they all handle differently, different textures and thicknesses. The graphics and print quality on all them them is excellent. As a baseline I had previously purchased Lot Fancy from Amazon ($10) and they are excellent cards that do everything well. None of these cards are quite as nice as Lot Fancy in handling but some of them come pretty close. I have a few more decks on the way and will add to this review when they arrive.
First up are King (Cellulose Acetate, Bridge, Std) - $4.24/setup:
Other than blatant imitation of KEM arrow backs these are nice cards. Probably my favorite of the group. I don't believe these are Acetate. They even copied the KEM service card.
