The Beginners Guide To Mapping Out A Cash Game Chip Set - 5c/10c to $5/$10 (5 Viewers)

Why are you compromising our responses don't conflict.

I use to run .25/.5 and I meticulously limited the amount of fracs, 1s, and 5s for limit testing. You can run a .25/.5 with 60 fracs comfortably, yes there will be some change making, but not enough to interfere with the game. If you only buy 60 it could affect resell as most ppl want a rack. You can buy 120 so that on a 10 player game everyone has a 12 which is $3.

I've moved onto .5/.5 and because they are non denom and we play them as .50s I could get away with only 40, but I put 60 on the table unless I have chippers over and they will buy out the rack

For 1s I've found the optimum amount is 180

5s depend on the game, but I would never put less than 300 (meaning skip over 5s and put in a higher denom) in and likely no more than 400, unless there was a rake.

At this point there is about 1700 to 2300 on the table if you run out of these chips, I think the most I've seen on the table is 3200 so its easy enough to start buying 5s for 20s or 25s.

Buying extra chips in case you lose one or a few break is a good ideal, but then it would look like

Fracs 105
1s 210
5s 415
25s 84
100 22

This is my exact break out.(Except I have 200x0.25 cause I spread .05/.1.
I'd go 800 here is what I would do

800 breakdown
.25 x 100
1 x 200
5 x 400
25 x 80
100 x 20

If it ever comes to it you can add onto the 25s and 100s, if you'd like I can show you my sets where I use this break down

This assumes 1 table, you'll like be stretched too thin for 2
