The Concert Thread (5 Viewers)

Was digging through an old box and found some concert tickets from my college days.
The tickets are for the following shows:
38 Special with Bon Jovi as opening act, 1986
Frank Zappa (front row), 1988
Pink Floyd, Carrier Dome, 1987
Deep Purple, with Joan Jett as opening act (She was booed off the stage. I mean seriously...who books Joan Jett to warm up a Deep Purple crowd?), 1987
Rush, Radio City Music Hall NYC, 1983
Iron Maiden, 1987 (saw them twice in 3 days)
Foreigner in Lou Gramm's hometown, Rochester NY, 1985
Aerosmith with Ted Nugent opening act, 1986

One show of note that I don’t have the ticket for was Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble in a small lecture hall, before Couldn’t Stand The Weather was released. I remember wondering why I was hearing two guitarists but there was only one on stage. Remarkable evening.

Never heard of any of them . It’s Rough getting old . Been to close to a thousand concerts though
What's old? I'll be 58 by the time of this and probably in the older range of attendees for this. That's a lot of concerts. No idea what mine is but north of 300 at the minimum.

Yeah, I’m 38. That lineup spans a decent range of time for alternative/(capital E) Emo from the 90’s-00’s.

I’d love to see Mineral. I’m always super nervous about seeing bands like them that I really revere now that they are older, though.

Yeah. I was in high school in the first half of the 80's and grew up on late 70's punk and 80's hardcore and went from there.

I've been loving the 10, 15, 20+ year anniversary shows. Nothing has disappointed so far. Some of them have been SDRE, Get Up Kids, Armor for Sleep, Quicksand, Hot Rod Circuit and a bunch more. Coming up in the next month or so are Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Samiam, Bob Mould, Swervedriver, and Bloc Party.
