The Concert Thread (5 Viewers)

It’s a perfect evening, and my wife is working at the venue tonight. Never really heard of the band, but I hear their music is awesome and they put on a great show. Even got a poker chip (Deuces Wild tour)

Great to see another CS fan!! I’ve seen them too many times to remember. They ALWAYS put on a great show.

The “Howdy Doodie” is Chris Isaak. His shows are almost like a variety show. He’s getting a ways up in age, but his voice is strong as ever. He is hysterical too. Always engaging with the crowd and keeping the audience laughing.

Just saw collective soul open for Hootie and the Blowfish

CS still rips it up, they were great!

I am a miserable 1 for 5 for concerts this year.

Blondie - cancelled
OMD - delayed to June 2025
Daryl Hall - cancelled
Heart - delayed to unknown

Amanda Marshall was the only one who showed up to do a kick ass show. Most of you won't know who she is, and that's really too bad.

That time Paul Stanley rode to the side stage right by our box. Up close and personal!

he may or may not have shook sweat on me

Metallica is my all time favorite band seen them live 19 times in 6 different states.
Number 20 and 21 will be in Philadelphia next May Memorial day weekend.
Oh hell yeah!!!!

I scored a VIP meet and greet ticket to see them in Nashville beginning of May. Love Philadelphia. I'm currently here for work.

Jimmy Killed it last night! 75 is the new 30 I guess... @TomC727 wasalso my first year seeing him, met him in 98 and he looks almost the same now! I need him to be ageless! He promised to come back to MPP and NOT 19 years later next time!

Bare foot as always, thousands of people dancing and signing having the time of their lives! As it should be at a buffet show.

Unfortunately we were deprived of grass skirts and Coconut Bras this year. We were definitely in the "Rich Old Folks section" at $200 a seat from ticket master now... I can't really blame people for going for the $75 lawn tickets.

But we still caught a bit of Fauna for @k9dr starting to think we need a dedicated folder for these things. Anyone saying "omg Brie is going to kill him!" For the record she asks me to take the pictures to post! Lol

Yup... total creeper pics all for Mark! Lmao and @FordPickup92 says you are welcome sir!
My last time seeing him (every year since 1996, a total of 27 times) Las Vegas March 4th 2023. He would die September 1st. I am not making it a tradition to travel down to Key West for the memorial festivities over Labor Day.

Did you check out the Philly live casino?
No. I don't usually have a lot of free time when I'm here on business.

I really miss Atlantic City and the Taj. I used to play there every other weekend when I lived in Cherry Hill.

As I slowly creep closer to 60 than 55 I still love to go to as many shows as I can. I am loving that it is now solidly in the era of bands touring for 20, 25, and even 30 year anniversaries of albums or even just being a band. Next week kicks off a busy couple of months worth of shows.
Feb

March

April

And all that is with skipping Helmet, Devo and a few others to avoid the wrath of my wife.
