I’m not ashamed to admit I went to Taylor Swift last night at Ohio Stadium. My wife won tickets. It was pretty good :bag:...

I've seen tons of shows, unfortunately prices keep going up, so I don't hit the bigs ones as much as I used to. Still one of the most incredible shows was Paul McCartney , I've seen him twice, don't remember the years, but it was surreal to see a Beatle . And the audience sang along to every song. Really powerful stuff.

Next week at Warped... first time I’ve been REALLY excited to see a band in a good while. I would be extremely impressed if anyone knows the band without cheating ;)

And February 1st at the Q, finally get to take my kids to see Metallica!

I finally got to see these old timers last week! :D (I’m sure this one will be identified even faster than my Gary Vee post)

Nice! I took my two sons to see them in Philly a couple of months ago, it was their first real concert. They still can shred, it was a great show, we got to hear a few older songs that I've never heard live before (Harvester of Sorrow & Phantom Lord). Did they play Moth into Flame with all the drones flying around?

Edit to add - not sure if they're doing this for all shows, but about 3 or 4 days later, we were able to download mp3s of the entire concert, you just need the number on your ticket. The audio quality was actually pretty good.

I saw them last summer. Probably best show I have been to. I used ear plugs and would do so again.

Tom Petty and Tea Party are the other " best" shows I saw many years ago. Seeing Tea Party again in a few months.

Yes they played Moth into Flame with the drones...very cool! Highlight of the night for me was Sanitarium, my favorite Metallica song. They haven’t been playing it in all of the shows, so I was so happy they played it!

Thanks for the reminder! The first photo I took at the show was the signs with info on how to download the show, and since I had to wait a few days I forgot about it. Download complete..and yes, audio quality sounds great!

Nice. It’s been a while since I have seen them. The last time was before they went on the Death Magnetic Tour. My son and I got to go see them at the Cow Palace in San Francisco for a rehearsal. Nothing like being right up close touching the stage with only about 300 other people. I know I have some great pictures somewhere. I’ll have to go find them.

@Ben8257 and I had concert fever last year.... we saw Gary Allan, Jimmy Buffet, Jason Aldean and Luke Combs, Breaking Benjamin and Five Finger Death Punch, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley and Brothers Osbourne (I think), Three Days Grace and Disturbed, and I think I'm missing one my memory is failing me.....

Ben has lots of concert stories lol....

Going to hear live music was my thing when I was younger. Hell, I still enjoy it but don’t get out as much. Years ago, I. can’t tell you how many times that my ears were ringing on the way home and sometimes the next day. Fast forward many years later and I have tinnitus. The ringing never goes away and sometimes the smallest of noise (depending on pitch) can set it off.

Hearing live music is one of the great joys in life. Moral of my story......... if you don’t wear earplugs to concerts you should start. Get a good pair that allows you to hear the music but protects your ears! Don’t leave home without them!

Vegas story.... so about 3 years ago we were playing 3 card at the golden nugget. BJ table next to us I hear... if you take a hit I will give you these tickets. The woman says I'm here to gamble not watch concerts... I said hey what do you have tickets for? Hey says the Oak Ridge Boys... I said oh really when's the show? He responds half an hour... i asked what do you want for them? He gave me the envelope with 4 tickets and meet and greets. He said me and my buddies gamble too much the comp us for everything... so we only had 3 people with us I waited outside trying to give the last ticket away but couldn't find anyone... so headed in a canadian gentleman in front of me was stating that he pre bought tickets to get great seats and that they had been waiting 6 months for the show, that he had the best seats in the house and asked me where mine were... obviously I have no clue I was just given these seats... did the meet + greet... basically shake hands and a group pic... headed out to the seating area in the theatre... well where do you think the seats were... front row dead center next to Elvis Prestlys road manager who used to manage the ORBs... I looked around to ask the guy if those are good seats... he was no where to be found back in the nose bleeds somewhere... absolutely fantastic show. Got called on stage with the long beard guy, we were probably half the age of the next youngest member of the audience... said on the mic everyone this is the future this young man knows every word of every song and look at his beard! Lol absolutely amazing experience and didn't cost 1 penny... only in Vegas right? Sorry for the book

Just went to see O.A.R. this past weekend. It's great seeing them in their "home town", and they put on a fantastic show. they even recorded the whole show, and will be releasing a live EP later this year from it. I might have to purchase that.

Some groups have taken to recording all their shows live, and including a DVD of each show in the price of your ticket...

We don't get too many great acts down here below Tampa and Orlando -- mostly old farts' music and "tribute" bands. Or Motown groups with at most one original member left...

Headed to see the Who in Tampa next Sunday.

Just bought tix for two Bruce Hornsby shows next March -- one night in Clearwater, the following night here in Sarasota. Man, he does a great show.
